Warning

🚨 Read this before installing v3.0.0

This release requires a mandatory one-time migration πŸ§°βœ…

πŸ”΄ Do NOT install/update to v3.0.0 until you complete the steps below.

The Lovelace card and the sync integration are now installed/managed together πŸ“¦βœ¨.
To avoid conflicts, missing files, or broken resources, the old separate setup must be removed cleanly first.

✨ What’s new in v3.0.0?

  • πŸ“¦ Bundled installation: Card + integration are now combined into one install

  • 🧩 After setup, the integration will automatically:

    • πŸ“ Install the card into your www folder
    • πŸ”— Add the card to Resources (similar to HACS) βœ…
  • 🏷️ Naming update:

    • Thermostat Pro Timeline Sync ➜ Thermostat Pro Timeline

βœ… There are no feature changes to the card itself β€” this release is about packaging + installation flow.

βœ… Mandatory migration steps (do this BEFORE installing v3.0.0)

1) πŸ’Ύ Backup your card config (CRITICAL!)

  • Create a backup of your card configuration/file 🧾

  • Save it under a different name than the default card filename πŸ›‘οΈ

    • This helps ensure it won’t be overwritten or removed during uninstall

2) 🧹 Remove the old setup completely

  • ❌ Uninstall the card (make sure it’s fully removed from Home Assistant)
  • ❌ Uninstall the integration

3) πŸ“₯ Install v3.0.0 (new combined integration)

  • βœ… Install Thermostat Pro Timeline (previously β€œThermostat Pro Timeline Sync”)
  • πŸ” Restart Home Assistant (recommended and important) βœ…

4) βš™οΈ Set up the integration again

  • Go to Settings β†’ Devices & Services 🧭

  • Add/configure the integration like you did before βœ…

  • Once configured, it will automatically:

    • πŸ“ Install the card into www
    • πŸ”— Add it to Resources

5) 🌐 Hard refresh Home Assistant

  • Do a hard refresh in your browser πŸ”„
  • Chrome shortcut: Ctrl + Alt + R ⌨️

βœ… After this, the card should appear exactly like before πŸ‘€βœ¨

♻️ Restore your old backup (easy method)

  1. πŸ†• Create a new backup right after reinstall
  2. πŸ“‚ Open the backup file you saved before uninstalling
  3. πŸ“‹ Copy the content
  4. πŸ“Œ Paste it into the newly created (likely empty) backup file
  5. πŸ’Ύ Save

πŸ” Home Assistant won’t automatically ask for a restart just because you changed the backup file β€” but it’s still a good idea to restart anyway βœ… to ensure everything is fully reloaded and applied.

Then you should be able to load your old backup again πŸŽ―πŸ’™

πŸ†˜ If something looks wrong

  • βœ… Double-check you removed both the old card and old integration
  • βœ… Verify the card exists in www
  • βœ… Verify the resource entry was added
  • πŸ”„ Do another hard refresh
