The editor's Insert link toolbar button opens a dialog prefilled with a clipboard web URL
and automatically uses the page title as the Markdown label. The URL and label can be edited,
selected text is kept as the label, and title lookup can be retried or skipped when offline.
The app is translated into German, Chinese (Simplified), Russian, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil),
Polish, French, and Spanish. It follows the system language, and on Android 13 or newer the
language can also be chosen per app in the system settings.
Nested Nextcloud categories are shown as a subfolder tree in a drawer, opened from the folder
button or the note-list menu. Each subfolder shows its note count and can be expanded and
collapsed, and a per-account Show notes from subfolders switch decides whether a subfolder
also lists the notes below it, as in QOwnNotes desktop. The previous Undefined and All
categories choices are the root folder without and with subfolders.
A per-account Use subfolders setting turns subfolders off, as the QOwnNotes desktop
note-folder option does. The note list then shows and creates only notes in the root folder
and hides subfolder navigation and Move to subfolder; notes in subfolders are still
synchronized.
Search stays within the listed subfolder and, in title and content mode, also matches subfolder
names. Search all folders in the search filter widens a search to the whole account.
Changed
Use subfolders is now off by default for each account, matching QOwnNotes desktop.
Nextcloud categories are now called subfolders throughout the app, as in QOwnNotes desktop: Show subfolder, Highlight subfolders, Move to subfolder, and Root folder for
notes without one. Existing settings are kept.
The Move to subfolder dialog lists subfolders as an indented tree, including parent folders
that contain no notes of their own.
Note-list widgets follow the app's note-list settings: "Show note preview", "Show subfolder"
for the widget's account, and "Highlight subfolders" with its color, in addition to "Compact
note list". Changing these settings updates placed widgets
(#24).
Fixed
Changing the URL in Insert link prevents an earlier page-title lookup from applying a
stale title or changing the new lookup's status.
Note-list widget previews now show plain text like the app list, without Markdown syntax and
without repeating the note title.
Note previews no longer drop characters that only look like Markdown markers in the middle of
a line, such as **Milk** and bread showing as "Milkand bread" or C# rocks as "Crocks".
