A Deck cards dialog browses and searches existing cards by board/list, including read-only
shared boards, and can insert an existing card link while editing a note. Cards can be
archived with confirmation, and Show archived cards includes archived cards from the
selected list (#27).
Tapping a Deck card link offers editing in QOwnNotes or opening in Deck, with an optional
remembered choice per account and a Settings action to reset all choices. The in-app editor
updates the existing card's title, description, and due date without changing the note link
(#27).
Tap the note-list widget's title bar to open its account's notes in the app for browsing and
searching (#28).
Long-pressing the editor's heading button opens a menu to choose heading level 1 to 6 or
normal text. Choosing a level replaces an existing heading marker instead of adding another,
and the keyboard stays open.
Long-press any editor toolbar icon to see its name. A Help button at the end of the toolbar
lists every editor tool with its icon and what it does, a one-time hint points to both, and
the optional Show toolbar labels setting shows a short name below each icon.
Changed
Moving several selected notes to trash now asks for confirmation first and shows how many
notes will be moved.
The Deck cards, Deck card editor, and new Deck card dialogs have a refreshed layout: a
two-line board/list picker grouped by board, card tiles with due-date and archive badges,
rounded search, consistent spacing, tinted error panels, and icon buttons for due dates and
actions (#27).
The bookmarks page shows each bookmark as a card with a site icon, shortened address,
description, and tag badges, with centered empty and error states. Links that cannot be
opened are dimmed.
The remote trash and note versions dialogs highlight the selected entry, show the preview on
a tinted panel, and have icons for restoring. Loading and error dialogs are centered and use
a tinted error panel.
Settings are grouped into Note list, Notes, and More sections, use switches
instead of checkboxes, and show Appearance, Reset Deck link opening preferences, and Debug diagnostics as rows with icons.
The Insert link dialog has field icons, a refresh button inside the link text field to
fetch the page title again, and a compact title lookup status.
The remaining dialogs share one visual language: header icons, field icons, centered loading
and empty states, tinted error and information panels, and warning-colored destructive
actions. This covers account note settings and removal, appearance, diagnostics, sync error
details, discarding edits, conflict and missing-note recovery, renaming, new notes, moving to
a subfolder, tags and the tag filter, note information, and Deck archive and reload
confirmations.
The About menu entry has an icon, and the About dialog shows the QOwnNotes logo with
links highlighted. The Move note to trash? confirmation shows a trash icon and a
warning-colored confirm button.
The editor toolbar is grouped into history, text, lists, insert, and Deck tools with
dividers between groups. Heading uses an "H" icon, Insert date and time uses a clock
icon, Create Nextcloud Deck card uses an add-card icon, and Deck cards uses the board
icon instead of a magnifying glass.
Long-pressing an icon button on the note screen, such as back, find, the note menu, or the
find bar's previous, next, and close buttons, shows its name.
Sync errors, conflicts, notes missing on the server, read-only notes, and the large-note
highlighting notice are shown on tinted panels with an icon and their actions. Read-only
notes explain why they cannot be edited, and the large-note notice can be dismissed.
While editing, the top bar has Cancel editing on the left and a Done button on the
right, replacing the separate row of text-size, cancel, and finish icons. Text size, tags,
note information, and the editor tools help are in the editing menu, where text size can be
stepped without closing the menu. The note title uses one line while editing.
The formatting toolbar sits at the bottom of the editor, right above the keyboard, with the
toolbar hint just above it.
An Edit button at the bottom right of the note view replaces the pencil in the top bar.
It shrinks to its icon while scrolling down and grows again when scrolling up.
The note menu has icons and groups: text size (stepped without closing the menu) and a Load images switch, then tags, moving, and renaming, then information, versions, Deck
cards, and retrying, with Move to trash last in red.
Tapping a note's tag line opens the tag editor.
Find in note uses a compact rounded field with the match count inside it, saving a line in
the note view and the editor.
The fast scroller is a slim rail and thumb, giving the note text most of the width it used to
reserve, and it stays clear of the edit button.
Fixed
Deck menus have a board icon. Card loading accepts detailed Deck owner objects as well as
owner IDs, and JSON parsing failures are no longer reported as an unavailable Nextcloud Files
app. Card updates use SSO-compatible JSON serialization, including explicit date removal.
Note conflicts show a plain-language explanation instead of exception details. Resolve
conflict is available while editing and saves the latest draft before opening the version
comparison and recovery dialog.
Edits typed after a background sync reports a conflict are persisted without clearing the
conflict, allowing recovery to open with the newest text.
