Kicked back to default config after Arch updates

I admit, I got careless. This system has been working problem-free for over a year, and I got lax on paying attention to what was in my updates. I'm not sure what I pulled in that's causing the problem, but I'm out of my quite elaborate custom config and back in the default config. I'm not sure how to start troubleshooting it. Can anyone walk me through this?

Quick postscript: I love Qtile! I have exactly the workflow I want, and until now it's been utterly stable.

I'd start by checking the log (~/.local/share/qtile/qtile.log) and see what it says.

Okay: it says there's no module named qtile_extras. It's been quite awhile since I created this config, but I seem to recall that qtile_extras was the package I used to create my customized taskbar.

qtile_extras is alive and well (I'm the developer) so try installing it again. Maybe your python version was recently upgraded which is why it can't find it.

You, sir, are a wizard; that solved it. I see a couple of other new issues: my weather widget is no longer working, and one of my workspace icons seems to have bitten the dust. But those are separate problems, and if I can't figure them out I'll start new threads. Also: I love qtile_extras; very cool to be in conversation with the dev. Once I get the aforementioned problems handled, I'll post a pic of what I've done with your software.
