Releases: quality-gates/mutaskell

0.8.58

Choose a tag to compare

@jonbaldie jonbaldie released this 08 Oct 09:08

Fixed: --git-diff-base REF now stops with exit code 2 and Error: git diff failed for base ref 'REF' when git diff fails. Before, a missing, mistyped, or unfetched REF made mutaskell mutate every file and line and exit 0 (#130).

0.8.57

  • Fixed: in project mode, exclude_dirs entries that contain a slash, such as src/sub or vendor/, now exclude those directories. Before, only bare directory names worked (#129).

0.8.56

Fixed: --update-baseline FILE now adds escaped mutant IDs to FILE and keeps the IDs already there. Running with --baseline FILE --update-baseline FILE no longer empties the baseline (#128).

0.8.55

@jonbaldie jonbaldie released this 07 Oct 17:37

  • Fixed: mutants that insert new syntax (negate-literal, tuple-swap, operator substitutions) no longer pull a later comment into the replacement, so the mutant source stays valid (#127).
  • Changed: removal and clause-reorder mutants keep valid layout. A removal also removes the comment lines directly above the removed item.

0.8.54

--run-mutant-id now applies configured quality gates and exits with code 2 when the requested ID matches no mutant (#131).

0.8.53

Added

• Exploratory testing documentation under docs/exploratory-testing/2026-10-03-baselines-diffs-scoping-targeted-runs.md documenting CLI journeys, baseline updates, project path exclusions, git diff failure handling, and single-mutant quality gates (#128, #129, #130, #131).

0.8.52

Choose a tag to compare

@jonbaldie jonbaldie released this 02 Oct 09:19

Tuple-swap mutants now render valid source with both components swapped, e.g. (x, y) becomes (y, x) instead of (yx,) (#119).

0.8.51

@jonbaldie jonbaldie released this 01 Oct 05:56

Project mode now applies changed-line, ignore-line, annotation, and mutator-name filters to operators before sampling and rendering. Diff-scoped runs can avoid rendering unrelated mutants in large files.

0.8.50

@jonbaldie jonbaldie released this 30 Sep 04:47

• Fixed: preserve outer located annotations on LetStmt and HsDo in selectRemoveLetBindingOps, preventing exactPrint from fusing the let keyword and variable name (e.g. letx = 1) into invalid syntax in do-blocks (#120).

0.8.49

  • Fixed: project and --exec modes now pass repeatable --test-args values to configured or detected test commands, preserving argument boundaries and forwarding them to project workers.
  • Changed: project runs allow up to 15 seconds for bounded mutant generation per source file.
