What's new in v3.6.22

backbone.py — JSONDecodeError on empty HTTP 200 response (issue #62)

When a local/proxy LLM endpoint returns HTTP 200 with an empty body (e.g. temporarily unavailable), resp.json() previously raised json.JSONDecodeError which propagated to the agentic retrieval layer and was logged as the misleading "Sufficiency check failed" warning. Fixed in two places:

  • _send(): wraps resp.json() in try/except and re-raises as ValueError with a message that names the real cause (HTTP status + Content-Length)
  • generate(): adds ValueError to the retry-eligible exception tuple — empty-body responses now retry up to 3× with exponential backoff, then return "" gracefully

Dashboard UI audit — remaining files (from v3.6.21 sweep)

  • clusters.js: added r.ok check on /api/clusters fetch
  • ng-entities.js: added r.ok check + named error logging on fetchEntityList
  • compliance.js: added r.ok check on /api/compliance/status fetch
  • math-health.js: status badge now correctly maps error/critical → red, warning/degraded → yellow; was always hardcoded green
