This project is about attempts to further evolution. Currently implemented forms are simplistic, based on local patterns of the involved sequences. Two mutually antagonistic modules are available: LocSep and LocCon. While the LocSep module provides separation between lineages, the LocCon module provides a lineage conservancy.
Megafan, the name of the project, can be seen as an acronym: Make Evolution Go Again Forwards Attaining New. Notice that megafan is a geographical structure that is an analogy of the process of evolution.
Megafan is available in form of library.
Compile it with: make dist which puts the compiled library to the dist subdirectory.
It is provided along with a Python connector that gets put there too.
The test directory contains an example script for its use.
