Open Excel checklists in the Windows app and browser, with worksheet and filename-column selection.

• Import previews retain displayed IDs, notes and repeated rows.
• The first screen starts with an empty checklist; sample data is available through Example.

0.3.0 — English and Chinese desktop workflow

The desktop workflow is now available in English and Simplified Chinese, including import, candidate review, copy previews, scan messages and CSV report labels.

• Language follows the Windows display culture. Override it with FileChecklist.exe --lang en or --lang zh; add --demo to open the sample.
• Original filenames, spreadsheet cells and saved task titles stay unchanged. Existing .fctask files remain compatible and still require rescanning.
• Widened the status column and added complete-path tooltips for candidates.
• Corrected the built-in help to cover all three matching modes, and included the referenced public documentation in portable packages.

Try the browser audit before downloading. It checks names locally and exports a CSV report; copying, checksums and resumable tasks are in the desktop / CLI.

Validation: 41 core/CLI behavior tests and full WPF import → scan → choose → preview → copy → restore → supplement flows in both languages. Detailed checks and limitations.

Windows and Linux CI passed. The Windows packages downloaded from that CI run were also extracted and run locally: both desktop languages completed the full workflow, and the packaged CLI completed the sample plan/choose/copy flow. The executable reports commit 96ed0afbc9b12f709b4f67d45da2df78506e4514.

This remains an early prerelease. Windows executables are unsigned; OS dialogs/errors can follow the operating-system language. Direct .xlsx import is not implemented: paste cells or use CSV/TSV. A filename and checksum do not establish the correct business version of a document.

v0.2.0 — First public preview

FileChecklist collects files from a CSV/TSV or pasted Excel checklist, retains every requested row, and lets you resume when missing files arrive.

The packages include the .NET runtime; no separate .NET installation is required. The Windows executables are unsigned. SHA256SUMS.txt contains archive checksums.

• Complete filename, filename without extension, and ID-prefix matching.
• Explicit confirmation for all prefix candidates, even a single match. A001 cannot match A0010.
• A copy preview, no target overwrites, optional numeric suffixes, and SHA-256 verification.
• Task snapshots, missing-file tracking, repeat-row preservation, and incremental completion.
• CLI dry-run planning, candidate choice, explicit copy, and JSON output.
• Invented sample files and checklists so you can try it before using your documents.

Validation

Built from commit 765b40a13263a99c29625eaf8e5b5e8f6111fec8 by this successful Windows/Linux workflow. All 38 behavior tests passed on both systems. Windows also passed the actual WPF import/scan/choose/preview/copy/restore/supplement flow. The CI-built Windows archives were downloaded, checksum-checked, and run again locally.

Early-release limits

Direct .xlsx import, macOS packages, network/cloud workflows, folder-structure export and an English desktop UI are not included. Paste cells from Excel or use UTF-8 CSV/TSV. CLI commands and structured status names are English; CSV reports and some detailed diagnostics are Chinese.

Please report problems with a small invented folder tree and checklist in Issues. Do not attach private task snapshots or customer files.
