It looks like it bundles its own copy of lisp-unit, with a lisp-unit.asd that clashes with the regular lisp-unit.

Is it possible to remove lisp-unit from cl-cffi-gtk?

I've been unable to use it with SBCL - intermittent /0 errors after which the library stops working even after a reboot...

Try wrapping the code with (sb-int:with-float-traps-masked (:overflow :invalid :divide-by-zero) ...) and see what happens. I had no problem with it but that solution's worked for me on unrelated code

It's a known bug with how SBCL interacts with the library.

It works fine with CCL and CLISP. You can also workaround in SBCL by manually clearing the float trap.

It compiles fine on my machine with SBCL & CCL; the first few tutorials run with no problem. Thanks!
