River Fishing 0.2.0 — Forge + Fabric
River Fishing 0.2.0 — Multi-loader (Forge + Fabric)
The first release that runs on both Forge and Fabric for Minecraft 1.20.1, built on the Architectury toolchain. Verified booting to the title screen on both loaders.
Highlights
- Fabric support. The whole mod was split into
common/forge/fabricmodules; all registries, events, networking, menus, block-entity sync, the fisherman villager (POI + profession) and the client renderers now run on both loaders. - New fish — Grass Carp (Белый амур). A hard-fighting weed-eater with a dedicated
relentlessfight pattern: powerful near-constant runs that stay strong to the net, long "torpedo" runs, and a surface-breaking splash/leap on every run. Full profile, journal art, villager trade, cutting recipe and advancement. - Journal illustrations for every species, and a roomier journal panel.
Fixes in this release
- Forge: rod & fish item icons now render (BEWLR mixin config was not being applied).
- Fabric: aquarium/ice-hole glass renders translucent; villagers now take the fisherman profession (POI block-states are mapped on Fabric too).
- Fish weight units are localized (kg/g ↔ кг/г); mormyshka is now an artificial lure; the journal keeps your tab after unlocking a skill.
- Mod icon added.
