Said creates private, on-device English captions for audio playing through your
Mac. This alpha includes the native menu-bar app, audio-only system capture,
local Parakeet streaming, stable two-line captions, and the polished caption
controls.

Install

  1. Download Said-0.1.0-alpha.dmg below.
  2. Open it and drag Said into Applications.
  3. On first launch, Control-click Said and choose Open, then confirm.
  4. Allow System Audio Recording Only and let Said download and verify its
    local speech model once.

Requirements

  • Apple silicon Mac.
  • macOS 26 or later.
  • English system audio.

Alpha signing notice

This build is ad-hoc signed and has not yet been notarized because the project
does not yet have a Developer ID certificate configured. macOS will therefore
require the Control-click → Open step. Do not redistribute this alpha as a
finished public release.
