Setup and Use BeatSaberKeeper

When you first download BeatSaberKeeper, you will see a console window pop up. This is SteamCMD, a tool that allows you to download Steam games from a console. It is often used to host game servers like Garry's Mod or Counter Strike. BSK is using it to download BeatSaber for you. For this, you need to login to your Steam account.
- Let SteamCMD setup itself. It will download some stuff it needs into the
resources/steamcmdfolder. - Afterwards you'll get a popup window "Login to Steam".
- If you have Steam running, close it.
- Enter your Steam account username and click "Login". A console window will popup again asking you to enter your Steam password and your Two-factor code from the Steam Guard app (if setup). Do that.
- If everything works as expected, you should see
Login OKappear in the console window. Wait for it to close on its own.
Now your SteamCMD is setup and ready to download.
Next, download a BeatSaber version. For that open Game > Download Vanilla Game.
Select a game version and click "Download". Alternatively you can also download all game versions, but this takes a while.
- When you now want to launch a game, first ensure that Steam is running and that the game is installed through Steam.
- Ensure BSK knows where your BeatSaber is installed. Go to
Tools > Settingsand set the "BeatSaber Installation Directory". You should only need to do this once. - Double-click on the downloaded version in BSK you want to run.
- Wait for the game to launch.
- Enjoy your BeatSaber $your_version_here.
