  • Cached downloads now preserve the previous file when an update fails and replace it only after the new download completes successfully.
  • Logical flags now reject missing and non-scalar values with a giscoR_error condition.
  • Downloads now attempt the requested GISCO resource directly instead of relying on a generic connectivity check, improving support for proxied connections (#139).
  • gisco_address_api_most_populated_cell() retrieves the most populated census grid cell for a province or city, preserving the API coordinates in numeric X and Y columns of a tibble.
  • gisco_address_api_search() now supports freeform address searches with the q argument.
  • ?gisco_db is updated.
  • gisco_get_units() now forwards cache_dir to its replacement single-unit download function.
  • gisco_id_api_*() functions with an epsg argument now send it as proj, honoring the input and output CRS, and gisco_id_api_nuts() sends nuts_level as level, honoring the requested NUTS level.
