Sound. The iPhone's audio now plays on the computer, as in Apple's Device Hub 27 — on macOS and on Linux.
What's new
- Audio — the phone's sound, carried over the same CoreDevice tunnel as the screen (AAC-ELD, 48 kHz stereo). It starts with View Screen; View ▸ Play iPhone Audio turns it off. The Linux client (
rplay-gui) plays it too; mute it from the mirror's right-click menu. - Linux: Developer Disk Image instructions — the engine mounts the DDI itself after every phone reboot, and on Linux you now download Apple's image files once with
./scripts/fetch-ddi.sh. See doc/DDI.md. - App icon.
Install
Open the DMG and drag rPlayHub to Applications. Signed and notarized. macOS 14+, Apple silicon.
The app talks to the engine (cdhost), which carries the audio as well as the video. Build it from this release's source — see BUILD.md — and run it alongside the app.
Requirements
- iOS 27 or later on the iPhone, with Developer Mode on.
- On an older iPhone, use rPlay, which supports every iOS version.
