Program files of the model server acestep.cpp for macOS (Apple Silicon), used by the Music Generator installer. With these, the Mac installer no longer needs Xcode or a working compiler.

Origin: built by this project from the unmodified source of acestep.cpp, so that the installer gets one fixed, tested, checksum-verified set.

  • Requires: macOS 26 or newer, Apple M1 or newer. Older macOS versions keep building from source.
  • CPU code in three variants (M1, M2/M3, M4 and newer), chosen at runtime; Metal shaders compiled by macOS at first start
  • SHA-256 of the ZIP: dee4327b9e14882f8acae1aeef5f97e19327a5444ce2dd7357e22295fb8df915
  • Checksums of the single files: SHA256SUMS.txt inside the ZIP

Signed ad hoc, not notarized. The installer downloads with curl, so macOS does not quarantine the files.

Tested on an Apple M4 with macOS 27.0.1.

Tested on Windows 10 with a GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB (Vulkan backend). The CUDA part of this build targets RTX 30xx and newer.

Antivirus: the files are not digitally signed. Some scanners (for example Norton with "IDP.Generic") may flag
ace-server.exe because it is new and rare. See README-WINDOWS.md, section "Virenscanner schlägt Alarm".

You normally do not need to download this yourself: Install.bat fetches and verifies it.
