Rabbit Core Testnet v2.2.5

Required Testnet release for the Fairness/Liveness upgrade at block 73,000.

Chain ID: 9280

This is an in-place Testnet upgrade:

  • No Testnet reset.
  • Existing encrypted mining wallet is reused.
  • Existing Rabbit Testnet blockchain data and persistent consensus state are preserved.
  • Rabbit Core restarts the node using the same data directory after an unexpected node stop.
  • Mining resumes only after canonical synchronization is ready.

Rabbit Core Testnet v2.2.4

Choose a tag to compare

Rabbit Chain Testnet fairness/liveness stabilization release.

Consensus Fairness fork: block 73000
Chain ID: 9280
Source commit: 79bd3e6
Genesis SHA-256: ef115b86fe0225b8fddd41d61ff9576c08960b97bd4e1e374fcfa0cee4ec7ad9

This release prevents healthy WorkSeats from being penalized merely because a later queue candidate produced the canonical block, clears legacy liveness penalties at the fairness boundary, and hardens queue/recovery timing against clock-ahead activation.

Rabbit Core Testnet V2.2.3 R1

Rabbit Core Testnet V2.2.2 — Required Hard Fork Upgrade

Rabbit Core Testnet V2.2.2 is the required client release for Rabbit Testnet miners and node operators.

Mandatory activation

  • Hard fork block: 50000
  • Network: Rabbit Testnet
  • Chain ID / Network ID: 9280
  • Native test token: tRAB
  • Source commit: 249380bdd23582c4a1194b71e9f12f4cdd214472

All miners and validating nodes must upgrade before block 50000.

Existing miners

V2.2.2 preserves and automatically upgrades an existing Rabbit Testnet installation.

  • keep the existing datadir;
  • keep the existing encrypted keystore;
  • keep the same mining wallet;
  • do not delete or re-register the existing WorkSeat;
  • close the previous Rabbit Core;
  • extract V2.2.2 into a new application folder;
  • start it with the normal launcher.

During the first start, Rabbit Core applies the official hard-fork configuration and rebuilds the canonical LCQ state. This can take several minutes. Rabbit Core now remains open and displays progress until the node is ready.

The upgrade path was validated using an existing Windows datadir. The same wallet, chain history, balance and active LCQ seat were preserved, and block production and committee rewards continued normally.

No network reset

This release continues the existing public Rabbit Testnet:

  • no genesis reset;
  • no chain-history reset;
  • no balance or contract reset;
  • no wallet or keystore replacement;
  • no WorkSeat deletion or re-registration.

The genesis JSON checksum changed because the scheduled hard-fork configuration was added. The canonical block-zero hash remains unchanged:

0x9b71d7f2922fdf8383a4a12be5594e25938625195e0d84c05c3bd71b7bcf93f7

Consensus hardening at block 50000

  • future timestamp tolerance changes from 30 seconds to 1 second;
  • temporarily unavailable WorkSeats move deterministically behind ready seats;
  • persistent WorkSeat ownership is preserved;
  • penalized seats remain available as emergency fallback;
  • seats return automatically after the deterministic penalty period;
  • producer, fallback, committee and reward selection use one canonical queue.

Historical blocks through 49999 retain their existing consensus behavior.

Rabbit Core Testnet V2.2.1 — Required Upgrade

Rabbit Core Testnet V2.2.1 is the recommended client for all Rabbit Testnet miners and node operators.

Mandatory activation

  • Hard fork block: 50000
  • Network: Rabbit Testnet
  • Chain ID / Network ID: 9280
  • Native test token: tRAB
  • Source commit: 743ac6d8d5d47961da6ae31fc13b37d04b4a0cf9

All miners and validating nodes must upgrade before block 50000.

Existing miners

V2.2.1 automatically applies the official hard-fork configuration to an existing Rabbit Testnet data directory.

Existing miners must not delete their data, create a replacement wallet, or register their WorkSeat again.

  • keep the existing datadir;
  • keep the existing encrypted keystore;
  • keep the same mining wallet;
  • extract V2.2.1 into a new application folder;
  • close the previous Rabbit Core and start V2.2.1 normally.

Rabbit Core reuses the existing chain, wallet, balances, contracts and persistent WorkSeat.

No network reset

This release continues the existing public Rabbit Testnet. The canonical block-zero hash remains unchanged.

Rabbit Core Testnet V2.2 — Required Hard Fork Upgrade

Rabbit Core Testnet V2.2 is the required client release for the existing public Rabbit Testnet.

Mandatory activation

  • Hard fork block: 50000
  • Network: Rabbit Testnet
  • Chain ID / Network ID: 9280
  • Native test token: tRAB
  • Source commit: 3a3bbeea19c6ac93ab877f7f63dd3f9ab86451d6

All miners and validating nodes must upgrade before block 50000.

No network reset

This upgrade continues the existing Rabbit Testnet:

  • no genesis reset;
  • no chain-history reset;
  • no balance or contract reset;
  • no wallet or keystore replacement;
  • no WorkSeat deletion or re-registration;
  • existing datadirs continue to be used.

The genesis JSON checksum changed only because the scheduled hard-fork field was added. The canonical block-zero hash remains unchanged.

Consensus hardening

Beginning at block 50000:

  • future timestamp tolerance is reduced from 30 seconds to 1 second;
  • WorkSeat liveness deterministically moves temporarily unavailable seats behind ready seats;
  • persistent WorkSeat ownership is preserved;
  • penalized seats remain available as emergency fallback;
  • seats automatically return to the ready queue after the deterministic penalty period;
  • producer selection, fallback, committee and rewards continue from one canonical queue.

Historical blocks through 49999 retain their existing consensus behavior.

Upgrade

Back up the mining wallet keystore before upgrading.

Close the current Rabbit Core application, extract V2.2 into a new folder, and start it using the same familiar launcher:

  • Windows: Start-Rabbit-Core.cmd
  • Linux: Start-Rabbit-Core.sh

Rabbit Core continues using the existing Testnet data directory and mining wallet.
