@rahuling rahuling released this 17 Oct 04:55

Tapewave v0.2.0 is the redesigned native Windows x64 music player: one persistent player, separate Music / Radio / Podcasts sections, a finite playback queue, and changeable colour palettes. No WebView, browser frontend or local server.

Downloads

  • Windows x64 Installer: per-user setup; adds Start Menu shortcuts, optional desktop shortcut and an uninstall entry in Windows Settings. No administrator rights required.
  • Windows x64 Portable ZIP: extract and run; preferences are still stored per user.

Compatible with Intel/AMD Windows 10 (1809+) and Windows 11. Builds are unsigned; Windows may show an unknown-publisher/SmartScreen warning. Radio is live without timeshift. Podcast episodes are prepared in a temporary file for seek/resume (256 MiB limit). Playback-speed changes pitch. Installation and uninstall have not been manually exercised.

Verification

25 automated tests passed; strict Clippy passed; release build and installer compiled; UI smoke captures generated; release executable started and exited cleanly, saving preferences in an isolated profile.
