Blazify 9.13.0

One click. No choosing. That button gives you the build almost everybody
wants: works on any phone, needs nothing from Google, and tells you when there
is a new version.

The other two files, and why you probably don't want them

Music that's already on your phone

Blazify now plays the songs on your device, not just the ones it streams. Point
it at the folders your music lives in — it asks for the folder, not for your
whole phone — and it reads what's there, tidies up filenames that were never
meant to be read by anybody, and finds cover art for the tracks that have none.

Local songs sit in the library beside everything else, and play the same way.

Telling us when something breaks

Settings → About → Report a problem now writes the report for you: the
version, the phone, the Android release, the language. You write the part only
you can write. It opens your email app, or the issue tracker if you have a
GitHub account — and if you have neither, it copies the details for you to
paste anywhere.

Nothing is sent anywhere without you seeing it first.

An empty search box that has something in it

Search used to open on a keyboard covering an empty page, with your recent
searches in a row that ran off the right edge. It now opens on what there is to
browse — moods and genres, two to a row, in their own colours — with your
recent searches wrapped so you can see all of them. The keyboard waits until
you ask for it.

The player says what's on

Queue, sleep timer and lyrics now show their state: the icon and its name turn
amber while what they control is on. Tapping Lyrics used to change nothing
about the button, so the only way to know whether lyrics were on was to look
for them.

Pure black is properly black

The pure-black theme blacked out the page and left every card, sheet and search
field on Material's generated tones — which, with an amber seed, drew them
brown, and moved them about as album art changed the colour. Every surface now
uses the same near-black steps, so a card is a card whatever is playing.

• Listen Together no longer corrects the clock of a player that isn't moving,
  which is what caused the stalls and reconnects for guests in a room
• Local songs get artwork at the size it is shown at, rather than a 60-pixel
  thumbnail stretched across a screen
• The app asks for a star three times over two months, and never again if you
  say no
