Blazify 9.13.2

One click. No choosing. That button gives you the build almost everybody
wants: works on any phone, needs nothing from Google, and tells you when there
is a new version.

The other two files, and why you probably don't want them

If you are on 9.13.0, take this one. Two things that version promised did not
work at all, and both are fixed here.

The first song starts

It was taking ten seconds or more, and on a slower phone it often never started
at all. Every launch was working out from scratch that the site's current player
cannot be read here, which costs megabytes of parsing before anything can play,
and it threw that answer away when you closed the app. It now writes the answer
down and picks it up again next time.

The token the first request needs was also being warmed too late to be any help.
It arrived after the song had already asked for one, then competed with it.

Measured on a 2019 phone: around three seconds, every time.

Music on your phone actually plays

9.13.0 added local files and none of them could play. The player had been given
only the two formats the online catalogue uses, so MP3, FLAC, Ogg, Opus and WAV
had nothing to read them with and stopped the moment they were asked to start.

Cover art shows up where it was blank. A song whose file never named an artist
is given one. Formats the player genuinely cannot open are no longer listed at
all rather than listed and then refused.

Telling a file what it is

Music that arrives on a phone is named by whatever put it there, so a song can
sit in your library as AUD-20260905-WA0014 with no artist and no way to say
otherwise. Now there is: ⋮ → Edit on any local song sets its title, artist
and album, and the correction survives a rescan. Clearing the boxes puts the
file's own tags back.

Corrections are kept inside Blazify. The file itself is left alone, so other
apps still see its original tags.

Folders, and leaving things out

Local music can be browsed the way it is actually arranged: Music on this
device → the folder icon.

Settings → Storage can now leave out the shortest and smallest files, so a
seventeen second voice note from a chat stops sitting next to your albums. Both
start at no limit.

Everything else

• Room invites go to a page that exists. The old address was never registered
• The profile icon opens the account sheet instead of jumping past it to the
  login page, and that sheet checks for a new version where it stands
• Menus no longer offer a local file things it cannot do: no radio built from
  it, no link to copy that opens nothing, no album page, no blank details sheet
• Home leaves no gap under a short shelf, the last row of a list sits clear of
  the mini player, and pulling to refresh brings different songs rather than the
  same ones rearranged
