VCF Offline Depot 1.1.0

Distribution build 2026-09-07.1.

Changes

  • Install downloads make a separate VCF Download Tool request for the catalog-selected bootable ESX installer ISO. The appliance verifies its size and SHA-256 checksum before reporting success.
  • A permanent Depot Management page keeps Download Tool, Depot Accounts, and HTTPS Certificate maintenance available after initial setup.
  • Header labels match VCF Connections and Appliance Status. Depot Files opens Depot File Management.
  • Administrator-menu pages no longer highlight unrelated header pages. All three maintenance pages use a consistent Back to Depot Management button.
  • Operational guides are updated to revision 1.9; the roadmap is revision 3.7.

Downloads

Download VCF-Offline-Depot-1.1.0.ova below. Individual Word guides, a guides-only ZIP, release notes, the release record, checksums, detached signatures, and the public signing key accompany the image. GitHub-generated source archives do not contain the OVA.

Deployment

Virtual hardware version 22 / ESX 9.0 or later; 4 vCPUs; 8 GiB RAM; 32 GiB OS disk plus a blank 1 TiB data disk. DHCP and Etc/UTC remain the defaults. Obtain the VCF Download Tool and entitled binaries separately.

Deploy as a fresh appliance. Existing accounts, certificates, settings, binaries, and history are not migrated. Preserve the existing appliance until the replacement has been configured and validated, and avoid duplicate IP addresses.

VCF Installer remains the supported integration scope. Fleet Manager and SDDC Manager qualification is deferred.

Validation

60 focused application tests and 11 OVF/network tests passed. Fresh static-IP and DHCP deployments of this exact OVA passed payload integrity, runtime dependencies, HTTPS access, automatic content-service startup, and reboot-persistence checks. Static DNS and NTP settings persisted across reboot. Temporary build and test VMs were removed; the running appliance was not modified.

The ESX ISO request and verification behavior was tested with catalog and command fixtures. This release run did not perform an entitled Broadcom download or reconfigure an existing VCF Installer. See release-record.json for the validation scope.
