windhawk mods stopped loading

please help. i installed windhawk about 6 months ago and loved being able to change the annoying parts of the window taskbar, but it stopped working 5 months ago. i found this support site and started the debug logging and it is stuck on listening for outputdebugstring messages. any thoughts on what I can do.

You're saying that logs are empty. After installing a mod, do you see anything in the "Loaded mods" dialog that can be opened from the Windhawk tray menu?

i enable the windhawk system tray icon, and it does not appear in the tray menu.

i was playing around and found two new things. When starting the windhawk.exe file with a mod enabled, it briefly enables then goes back to normal. for example with the vertical taskbar enabled, the task bar goes to the side for a second, than flashes and goes back to the bottom, then the windhawk application opens and i get a error message on the bottom right of the window: Server error: Proxy authentication required.

Maybe it's killed by an antivirus. Are you using any?

It's not designed to be used in such environments, but as a last resort, you can try limiting it for specific processes (e.g. explorer.exe). See "Targeting selected processes and excluding the rest" here:
