Enhancements

  • Revamped the shortcut settings to listen to key presses instead of relying on a syntax end users type into, which improves the user experience. It also supports more keys than before. The terminology “hotkey” was also renamed to “shortcut” to make it clearer to a wider range of users.
  • Added the random interval offset feature to offset the click interval by a randomised number of milliseconds from 0 to the set value (defaults to 40 ms).
  • Added the click repeat count feature to limit the amount of clicks the autoclicker performs.
  • Modularised the codebase to support future expansion with a NavigationView.
  • Created a settings page to change the appearance of the app and to see information about the app, like version number, copyright statement and some potentially useful links: GitHub repository, licence and third‐party notices.
  • Compiled the app with Native AOT to significantly improve performance in WinClicker. RAM usage should decrease significantly to around 30–50 MB even when not idle.
  • Optimised the app UI to support Windows High Contrast Mode more effectively by adding High Contrast styles to custom controls.
  • Added the en-GB locale.
  • Updated the app’s top‐level dependencies to their latest stable versions.
  • Improved the accessibility of WinClicker with the help of UI Automation Properties.

Bug fixes

  • Changed the default activation shortcut from Ctrl Shift C to Ctrl Alt C to avoid conflicts with the DevTools shortcut in browsers.
  • Fixed the unreliability of Always on Top. This isn’t fixed for development builds.
