Reviewed against Home Assistant Core 2026.10.0 source. All changes remain compatible with the declared minimum HA 2026.5.0.

Fixed — HA 2026.10 entity contract

• climate.py — Removed override of ClimateEntity.state, which is @final in HA; the base implementation already returns hvac_mode. (R1)
• fan.py — Replaced override of @final ToggleEntity.state with an is_on override (same on/off semantics). (R2)
• light.py — min_color_temp_kelvin / max_color_temp_kelvin now always return an int (falls back to HA's DEFAULT_MIN_KELVIN / DEFAULT_MAX_KELVIN); HA 2026.10 declares -> int and reports None (breaks_in_ha_version="2026.8"). (R3)
• light.py — supported_color_modes now returns a set, and a device with no color-temp / brightness commands falls back to ColorMode.ONOFF instead of UNKNOWN, which HA's valid_supported_color_modes() rejects on every state write. COLOR_TEMP is only enabled when the device JSON provides a colorTemperature list. (R4)

Fixed — found during review

• config_flow.py — YAML async_step_import no longer injects a fresh intent_source_id into _abort_if_unique_id_configured(updates=...). Previously YAML users got a new source_id and an entry reload on every restart. (R5)
• climate / fan / light — Set _attr_should_poll = False (HA's default is True); these entities were polled every 30 s for no reason. (R6)
• fan.py — Expose speed in state attributes so the existing restore logic can actually recover the speed after restart. (R7)
• climate.py — Restored hvac_mode / last_on_operation and intent payloads are stored as HVACMode; last_on_operation is now validated before use (previously an invalid restored value could KeyError on the next turn-on). Device JSON operationModes are normalised to HVACMode at init.
• codes/ — Removed trailing commas that made 3 device JSONs unparseable: climate/2680.json, light/1020.json, media_player/1440.json. All 435 device JSONs now parse. (R8)

CI

• lint.yml / ruff.toml — Python 3.13 → 3.14 (HA 2026.10 requires 3.14.2); ruff target-version → py314. (R9)
• lint.yml — actions/checkout v4 → v7, actions/setup-python v5 → v7 (both Node 24; removes the Node 20 deprecation warning).

Verified, no change needed

• All HA symbols used by SmartIR exist in 2026.10.0.
• import voluptuous as vol keeps working: since HA 2026.9 the name is aliased to Probatio, and every API we use is in Probatio's compatibility matrix.
• Climate native_* temperature property names arrive in 2026.11, not 2026.10 — intentionally not migrated yet.
