Release list
Visage packs v1
SHA256-manifested packs for the Visage app; see PACKS.json
Corresponding source (GPL-3.0 — espeak-ng)
The voice pack (voice-piper-*) uses espeak-ng as a separately spawned binary (aggregation, not
linking) under GPL-3.0; LICENSE-espeak-ng.txt inside the pack carries the licence text.
Corresponding source for both espeak-ng builds this pack ships:
- Standalone
espeak-ngCLI (from the Homebrew bottle, upstream tag1.52.0):
https://github.com/espeak-ng/espeak-ng/archive/refs/tags/1.52.0.tar.gz - Piper's own internally-used espeak-ng (built from the
rhasspy/espeak-ngfork's floating
masterbranch — upstream's ownpiper-phonemizebuild never pinned a fixed commit for this,
so no permanent upstream tag exists to link to instead): archived from that branch's observed
HEAD commit8593723f10cfd9befd50de447f14bf0a9d2a14a4(as observed 2026-08-17) and published
as this release's own asset,espeak-ng-source-8593723f10cf.zip(above).
Visage v1.0.9
Visage v1.0.9 — the first release for BOTH platforms.
- macOS (Apple Silicon): Visage_1.0.9_aarch64.dmg — signed + notarized.
sha256: 91612ad15a67a45635b39aaf87e94944bb12e3a40fb9de8089b1a4322bde170c - Windows (64-bit, Windows 10 1809+ / Windows 11): Visage_1.0.9_x64-setup.exe.
Unsigned while our code-signing certificate is issued — SmartScreen may warn
on first run (More info → Run anyway); the signed build arrives automatically
via Visage's built-in updater.
Clearer error messages and small fixes. Same licence covers 2 computers, Mac or Windows.
Visage 1.0.8
Licensing integrity: Visage now quietly re-validates its licence at launch — the same two values as activation (your key and a salted one-way hardware hash), nothing more. Only a licence revoked after a refund is affected; if the licensing service can't be reached the app simply continues, so an offline licensed copy never loses anything. Refusal messages are platform-neutral ('computers') ahead of the Windows release, and a refunded key now gets an honest, specific message. Privacy Policy §6 updated accordingly (21 August 2026).
Visage 1.0.7
Visage now introduces itself as Visage whichever AI model is doing the thinking (the models are its swappable brains — the current one is always visible in Settings), and pronounces its own name properly. New: start a fresh conversation any time — say it naturally ('clear our conversation', 'let's start a new discussion', 'start over') or use the new + button beside the chat input, which opens a small actions menu (file attachments will land there in a future update). The chat input bar is slimmer, leaving more room for the face.
Visage 1.0.6
New face controls in Settings → Face: a Tint bar (recolor the whole face by hue, with an Off reset) and a Formation bar (choose how fully the face assembles at rest — it holds your level through conversations and speech). The setup card now narrates by phase, so a machine with its brain already installed shows 'Getting your brain ready…' during startup instead of a misleading model chooser. Also includes the updated face engine (new formation orders and paths: bottom, edges, sweep, spiral, helix, funnel).
Visage 1.0.5
Maintenance release — no functional changes. This release exists to verify the repaired in-place update path end to end (see 1.0.4's notes); if you're on 1.0.4, the update banner offering this version is the fix working.
Visage 1.0.4
Fixes the in-app update checker — it previously failed silently on every version since 1.0.0, so updating to 1.0.4 requires downloading this release once; all later updates arrive in-app. Redesigned update notifications: clear checking / up-to-date / update-available states with version numbers, centred Update & Dismiss actions, an inline Update button in Settings, and an update check on every launch (silent unless something is found; nothing ever installs without your click).
Visage 1.0.3
First-run experience: the voice and ears downloads are now clearly named and visible (including after chat is ready), continue automatically after a quit-and-relaunch, and activate the moment they finish — no reload or restart ever needed. The finalize step now shows "Installing… please wait". Settings now reflects the brain you actually chose at first run, and gets small layout polish (centred About, breathing room around controls).
Visage 1.0.2
Fix: Escape now exits window-resize mode (keyboard focus was never reaching the page — macOS beeped the keystroke away). Also closes the right-click menu.

Visage 1.0.18
Stage A11 — the MCP server: other apps (Claude Code, Claude Desktop, VS Code Copilot, Antigravity, any MCP client) can speak, gesture and ask questions through Visage. Text-only boundary, one master toggle (Settings → Other apps), off by default. Also: head turns and circles, amplified gestures, multi-park ask triage.
