AriyaPet v0.2.0

Big upgrade from the MVP desktop pet to a richer Hermes desktop client.

Added

  • Advanced dark chat UI with user/assistant bubbles.
  • File attachments:
    • text/code/Markdown files are inlined into the prompt;
    • images are sent as multimodal data URLs when the server supports multimodal Runs API input.
  • Voice input via configurable OpenAI Whisper-compatible STT endpoint.
  • Remote TTS playback through Hermes POST /v1/audio/speech.
  • Assistant audio/voice bubbles for synthesized replies.
  • Chat history viewer backed by local JSONL.
  • Live log viewer with export.
  • DPAPI-protected local storage for Hermes API key and optional STT API key.
  • Updated README with setup, storage paths, STT/TTS notes, and troubleshooting.
  • CI now publishes the Windows artifact and uploads AriyaPet-win-x64.zip to tagged releases.

Verification

  • git diff --check: passed.
  • Hermes API Server Python compile check: passed.
  • XAML XML well-formedness check: passed.
  • Independent pre-release review: completed; blocking compile-risk fixed.
  • GitHub Actions build-windows: passed on Windows runner.

Server requirement for TTS

Remote TTS requires Hermes API Server support for:

POST /v1/audio/speech
Authorization: Bearer <API_SERVER_KEY>
Content-Type: application/json

If /v1/capabilities does not advertise audio_speech, update/apply the matching Hermes API Server change before enabling Auto TTS in AriyaPet.

Security notes

  • Do not expose Hermes API Server to the public internet.
  • Use Tailscale or another private network plus a long API_SERVER_KEY.
  • No API keys are bundled in this release.
