Features

  • Add ravion deploy, which deploys the app in the current folder to an App Cluster: it reads the app's ravion-app.yaml, or offers to write one from the folder's compose file or Dockerfile, asks which App Cluster and which app to deploy to, uploads the git working tree (at most 512 MiB) straight to the App Cluster, never through Ravion, streams the build and start, and prints the app's URLs, those under the App Cluster's custom domains included.
  • An exposed port in ravion-app.yaml can list domains of the app's own (expose: {web: {health_check: /healthz, domains: [shop.example.com]}}). After a deploy, ravion deploy prints each domain with its status and the DNS records to add at your DNS provider, with what public DNS holds for each; --json lists them under domains, and the URLs under the App Cluster's custom domains under alternateUrls.
  • ravion deploy prints a commit: URL after the app's URLs. It serves the deployed commit from a snapshot of the app taken once the deploy answered its health checks, and --json returns it as commitUrl. A deploy whose snapshot could not be taken has none, and its log says why.
  • ravion deploy from a git branch other than the app's default branch (the branch of its first deploy) deploys to a branch app of its own, served at <app>--<branch> under the App Cluster's domains and started from a copy of the app's newest deploy. --branch deploys as a branch other than the one checked out, and ravion app list lists each app's branch apps under it with a BRANCH column.
  • The ravion app commands list, inspect, pause, resume and delete deployed apps. ravion app get shows an app's URLs and its domains with the DNS records to add, ravion app dns-status checks those records in public DNS, ravion app clusters and ravion app cluster show the App Clusters you can deploy to and the execution environment that runs their apps, ravion app router, start-router and stop-router show and control an App Cluster's router, and ravion app schema prints the ravion-app.yaml reference.
