Two things people kept running into. A playlist or mix you switched on in the Sync tab didn't show up on Home until some later sync happened to touch it, and a song you played on its own ended in silence. Both are settled here, and Import Backup learned to merge instead of overwrite.
Home and the Sync tab
- What you switch on is on Home. Switch a mix on and it's pinned to the front of its rail; switch a playlist on for sync and it's pinned to Your playlists. Switch either off and it leaves Home. Playlists you had already synced are pinned for you on first launch, nothing to flip.
- Why it broke. Since August each mix rail showed only its twelve most recently updated mixes, and a mix reached Home at all only once one of its tracks was downloaded or indexed. The switch said "Shown on Home" and Home wasn't listening. Now a pinned mix is visible because you pinned it, and a rail keeps every pinned item, past twelve too.
- The row says what Home will do: "Pinned on Home", "On Home when it updates", or "Hidden from Home".
Autoplay radio
- Settings → Playback → Autoplay radio, off by default. With it on, the moment the last song in your queue starts playing, Stash seeds a radio from it and lines the discoveries up behind it, the same radio "Start radio from this song" builds. A song from Search keeps going; so does the end of an album. Needs Online mode.
Import Backup, your way (#235)
- Merge instead of replace. Import Backup now asks what to restore: merge the backup's missing songs, playlists and memberships into your library (the default, nothing deleted, no restart), replace the library only, restore settings only, or replace everything as before. Merged tracks land as not-downloaded until the disk sweep finds their files, and memberships a synced playlist owns stay the sync's to manage. By @chaudhary-lakshay.
Known issues
- A mix whose switch you never touched still surfaces only when a sync adds to it. Pin it (switch it off and on) to keep it on Home.
- Autoplay builds its radio from Last.fm neighbours and YouTube, so it needs a connection and a track Last.fm knows.
Install
Download the .apk below and open it on your Android device. If you've got a previous Stash release installed, this upgrades in place — your library, sync history, and settings are preserved.
