Stash v0.9.57
release: v0.9.57 — queue stability fix (playback no longer stops mid-queue)
Fixes the "playback pauses/stops after 5-6 tracks" some of you hit since
v0.9.56. The previous fix bounded how far ahead the queue loads (so a big
playlist wouldn't try to resolve all 1000+ tracks at once) — but it went too
far the other way: it kept only about one track loaded ahead, so the moment a
single track was slow to resolve (common when the lossless proxies are having
a rough day), the queue ran dry and playback just stopped.
Two changes bring back a seamless queue:
- The player now keeps about 10 tracks loaded ahead and refills as you go —
a real cushion against slow loads, while still never resolving your whole
library up front. - If the queue ever does run dry, playback now recovers and continues to the
next track instead of stopping dead.
Net: the queue keeps playing through long playlists hands-off, even during a
lossless-source outage, and rapid skipping still lands cleanly.
