Release list
v0.1.3-windows (Windows x64, shareware)
raylib DOOM for Windows (x64), with the shareware episode bundled.
Download and run
Download raylibdoom-0.1.3-windows-x64.zip and its .sha256, then check the hash in PowerShell:
(Get-FileHash .\raylibdoom-0.1.3-windows-x64.zip -Algorithm SHA256).Hash
Get-Content .\raylibdoom-0.1.3-windows-x64.zip.sha256
or in cmd:
certutil -hashfile raylibdoom-0.1.3-windows-x64.zip SHA256
SHA-256: 3b8dff208222b4a23bd2d234417e4693c7a443c1720fe2bacba0df79e301d74f
Unzip it anywhere and double-click raylibdoom.exe in the raylibdoom-0.1.3-windows-x64 folder. No installer and no extra DLLs are needed: the exe is statically linked and only uses DLLs that ship with Windows.
WAD files
The zip ships the shareware DOOM1.WAD (v1.9) next to the exe, at raylibdoom-0.1.3-windows-x64\DOOM1.WAD, so the game runs right after unzipping, whatever the working directory is.
A WAD you supply yourself takes priority over the bundled one:
raylibdoom.exe -iwad C:\path\to\DOOM.WAD
-iwad <file>, %DOOMWADDIR% and the current directory are all checked before the bundled shareware WAD is used.
Shareware notice
DOOM1.WAD is the shareware episode of DOOM, © id Software. id Software allows the shareware version to be freely redistributed unmodified. The full game (DOOM, The Ultimate DOOM, DOOM II) is not included; buy it and point the game at your own WAD with -iwad. See DOOM1-NOTICE.txt in the zip.
Build and testing
Built from 3e46888b6a49ddb8b3a0d810eb10aa5a994872d6 (merged PR #43) with the same toolchain as release-windows.yml: MSYS2 MINGW64, gcc 15.2.0, raylib 5.5, -static. check-wad-in-package.sh confirmed DOOM1.WAD in the zip (SHA-256 1d7d43be501e67d927e415e0b8f3e29c3bf33075e859721816f652a526cac771, 4,196,020 bytes).
Tested on Windows 11 x64 from a clean unzip, with DOOMWADDIR unset and a system-only PATH:
- the bundled WAD loads from an unrelated working directory and the shareware title screen and attract demo render
-timedemo demo1: 5026 gametics in 2971 realtics (same gametics as the Omarchy build)-iwad freedoom1.wad(Freedoom 0.13.0) is used instead of the bundled WAD- no missing-DLL errors
v0.1.3-omarchy (Omarchy/Arch, shareware)
raylib DOOM for Omarchy / Arch Linux (x86_64), with the shareware episode bundled.
Install
Download raylibdoom-0.1.3-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst and its .sha256, then:
sha256sum -c raylibdoom-0.1.3-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst.sha256
sudo pacman -U raylibdoom-0.1.3-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst

WAD files
The package ships the shareware DOOM1.WAD (v1.9) at /usr/share/raylibdoom/doom1.wad, so the game runs right after install.
A WAD you supply yourself takes priority over the bundled one: -iwad <file>, -file <pwad>, $DOOMWADDIR, the current directory, and /usr/share/games/doom are all checked before the bundled shareware WAD is used.
Build and testing
Built from 632ba99ee3511ae3429c4d4418363b5954b12acd (PR #43 head).
Tested on raymarchy (Omarchy, Hyprland):
makepkgbuild andcheck-wad-in-package.sh(WAD present in the package)- title screen renders under Hyprland
-timedemo demo1: 5026 gametics in 2979 realtics-iwadoverride picks the user WAD over the bundled one- real
pacman -Uinstall, plus a manual play test by the maintainer
v0.1.2 (macOS, shareware)
macOS (Apple Silicon) build with the free shareware DOOM1.WAD (v1.9, SHA-256 1d7d43be501e67d927e415e0b8f3e29c3bf33075e859721816f652a526cac771) inside the app, so it runs out of the box. Drop another IWAD in ~/Library/Application Support/raylibDOOM to use it instead.
- On macOS, Z fires and X strafes by default (they were Ctrl and Alt, which switch Spaces together with the arrows). An existing
~/.doomrckeeps its old bindings: remove itskey_fireandkey_strafelines, or set them to 122 and 120. - Ad-hoc signed, not notarized: see the README in the dmg for opening it the first time.
- macOS-only release; other platforms are in v0.1.1.

Every file has a .sha256 next to it. To check a download, run sha256sum -c <file>.sha256.
No commercial WADs are included. Use Freedoom or your own IWAD.
Android
raylibdoom-0.1.1-android-shareware.apk runs on Android 8.0 or newer (arm64 phones and tablets, and the x86_64 emulator). It includes the shareware DOOM1.WAD (episode 1, unmodified), so it plays right after install. DOOM shareware © id Software. This app is not affiliated with id Software / ZeniMax / Microsoft. The engine is GPL-2.0, and the source is linked from About / Licenses.
Install: download the APK on the device and open it. When Android asks, allow your browser or file manager to install unknown apps (Settings > Apps > Special app access > Install unknown apps). To check the file first, run sha256sum -c raylibdoom-0.1.1-android-shareware.apk.sha256.
Your own WADs: add IWADs (Freedoom, your own DOOM.WAD / DOOM2.WAD) and PWADs (such as SIGIL) from the launcher. No storage permission is needed. There are three ways:
- Add WAD files… opens the system file picker.
- Add a folder with WAD files… grants a folder such as
Documents, or a folder insideDownload. Android 11 and newer don't allowDownloaditself. The app checks that folder for.wadfiles on every start. - Copy WADs over USB or
adb pushtoAndroid/data/com.raylib.doom/files/, then tap Rescan.
Pick the IWAD and tick any add-ons. The app remembers your choice.
