Flipbook 0.1.0
First public build of Flipbook — a macOS reader that treats a PDF like a book.
Download
Flipbook-macOS-universal.zip is a universal binary with native arm64 and x86_64 slices — one download for both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
| Requires | macOS 26 (Tahoe) or later |
| Size | 3.9 MB |
| SHA-256 | 78c248990b24525e013cd04093d5a2da9d007851d64b421076af6ad005eb8594 |
First launch
The build is ad-hoc signed, not notarised with an Apple Developer ID, so macOS will block the first launch. Unzip it into Applications, double-click, dismiss the warning, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.
Or clear the quarantine flag from the Terminal:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Flipbook.app
What's in it
- Gesture-tracked 3D page turn — interruptible and reversible mid-turn
- Book, continuous scroll and reflow reading modes
- Nine reading themes with a lightness-preserving smart invert for dark
- Freehand highlighter, sticky notes, ribbon bookmarks
- Library with self-computing shelves; dashboard with streaks and goals
- Ask about the page you're reading, and author personas grounded in your own books — bring your own API key (Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, YUNWU)
No backend, no account, no telemetry. API keys live in the macOS Keychain.
