AgentBridge 0.1.31 brings the V3 collaboration layer to the main release: connect agents on different machines through a shared broker room, including machines running only Codex.
- Native Codex tools:
agentbridge_room_membersandagentbridge_room_say, with exact member IDs for private messages. - Incoming room notices wait while local work is starting or running. Explicit local tasks and replies retain their normal acknowledgement behavior.
- Room-enabled threads can resume after a daemon restart. Use
abg codex --safe --newonce when upgrading a thread that was created without room tools. - Offline replay is isolated by room subscription; private completion notices do not enter the public room whiteboard.
- Windows Codex executable resolution and release artifact consistency fixes from PR #245.
Recommended CLI versions, checked on 2026-09-12: Claude Code 2.1.269 and Codex 0.154.0. Native Codex 0.154.0 room-tool and notification opt-out checks passed; Linux two-machine validation also uses Codex 0.153.4.
Validation: four independent final reviewers reported zero in-scope issues. CI passed all 1956 tests on Ubuntu and macOS, plus built CLI and package smokes. Two real Linux machines passed native Codex message/ACK exchange in both directions, busy-turn queuing, explicit local reply routing and privacy of the next room turn, and same-thread recovery after a full daemon restart.
Install or update with npm install -g @raysonmeng/agentbridge@0.1.31. Update the broker and participating daemons together. Bun remains the AgentBridge runtime; release bundles use the repository's existing Bun 1.3.11 toolchain.
Room messages are external, untrusted context. Sending a message confirms submission, not a recipient acknowledgement; the bounded in-memory Codex inbox does not promise durable end-to-end delivery. Setup and upgrade details: Codex remote rooms.
Thanks to @wudd15 for PR #245 and the Codex remote-room integration.
