Release list
v0.5.0
Designs now live in the host's visible artifacts folder (default Artifacts/threads-design/<title>/), with automatic migration of existing designs out of .geode/artifacts/. Requires Agent Threads v0.60.0+ for the visible folder; older hosts fall back to the hidden path.
v0.4.2
Fix: defer the 'requires API v1' notice on startup until Agent Threads has had time to load (#10).
v0.4.1
Bug Fixes
- #9 —
threads.sendcalls from the /design slash command and the Design service now pass anidempotencyKeyalongsideownerPluginId, fixing sends being rejected by the host for a missing key.
Design for Agent Threads v0.4.0
Features
/designnow suggests its five mode keywords as you type (wireframe:,states:,variations:,pick:,spec:), each with a one-line description — matching how/modelalready suggestsfable|opus|.... Typing/design wiresurfaceswireframe:as a completion. (#8)- On a brand-new thread's dispatch entry point, only the three modes that make sense there are suggested (
wireframe:,states:,variations:) —pick:andspec:are omitted since both always error with nothing yet to pick or annotate.
Notes
- Requires the companion Agent Threads host field
SlashCommandHandler.argCompletions, shipped inagent-threadsv0.51.0. This release is additive and backward-compatible: the field is optional and degrades silently on an older host build — no autocomplete appears, but/designotherwise behaves exactly as before. Confirmed empirically against a pre-change host build, not just asserted. - Per-mode descriptions were consolidated into a single shared source (
DESIGN_MODE_DESCRIPTIONSindesignModes.ts), removing prior duplication between the tool schema and the new completions. - Interactively verified end-to-end in headless Geode across both composer surfaces (thread and dispatch), plus a backward-compatibility check against a pre-change
agent-threadsbuild — this was hands-on QA, not just unit tests. - Download both
main.jsandmanifest.jsonto install or update the plugin. - Verification: 146 tests passed, TypeScript typecheck clean, and the production build clean — all observed on
mainafter merging #8.
Design for Agent Threads v0.3.0
Features
/design wireframe: <brief>— a low-fidelity, grayscale wireframe focused on layout, hierarchy, and flow; reduces an existing design to its structure. (#5)/design states: <brief>— a component state sheet covering default, hover, focus-visible, active, disabled, loading, empty, error, and overflow, in light and dark themes. (#5)/design variations: <brief>— three (four if the brief asks) distinct full-page directions labeled A–D, shown side by side on a comparison board with rationale and a pick command for each. (#6)/design pick: <letter> [notes]— promotes a chosen variation to the root page as the fully built-out design, applying any notes, while keepingvariations/intact so you can pick again. (#6)/design spec: [notes]— a toggleable redline/spec overlay (pressSor click "Show spec") that labels spacing, type, and color tokens on an existing design without changing the design itself. (#7)
Notes
- These are prompt modes on the existing
design-staticartifact — no new artifact kind, no manifest or schema changes. - Desktop-only; requires Agent Threads v0.43.0 or later and Obsidian or Geode. Interactive previews and screenshot capture require Geode.
- Download both
main.jsandmanifest.jsonto install or update the plugin. - Verification: 143 tests passed, TypeScript typecheck clean, and the production build clean — all observed on
mainafter merging #5, #6, and #7.
Design for Agent Threads v0.2.0
Features
- New design artifacts now start with a compact loading state that matches the host's light or dark palette, accent, borders, text, and interface font. Missing or unsafe theme values use safe defaults. (#4)
Bug fixes
- Fixed the preview action icon by using a glyph supported by the host. (#3)
Notes
- Existing artifacts and agent-authored styles remain unchanged. Theme values are captured only when creating a new artifact.
- Desktop-only; requires Agent Threads v0.43.0 or later and Obsidian or Geode. Interactive previews and screenshot capture require Geode.
- Download both
main.jsandmanifest.jsonto install or update the plugin. - Verification: 40 tests passed, TypeScript checks and production build passed; light/dark desktop/mobile QA passed before merge.
Design for Agent Threads v0.1.0
Design for Agent Threads v0.1.0
Features
- Create and revise static UI prototypes with
/designor theEnterDesignModeagent tool. Design now ships independently as an optional Agent Threads peer plugin. (#1) - Preview, capture screenshots, and reveal existing design artifacts from their conversation cards in Geode.
- Failed new-thread preparation rolls back its provisional thread and allocated files. Once preparation commits, subsequent agent failures preserve the work for retry.
Bug fixes
- Obsidian reveals artifact source instead of opening a missing Geode artifact-view placeholder. Interactive preview and screenshot capture require Geode.
Installation and compatibility
- Requires Agent Threads v0.43.0 or later, a desktop host, and a local filesystem vault. Enable Agent Threads before Design.
- This repository is private: downloading release assets requires repository access.
- Download
main.jsandmanifest.jsoninto<vault>/.geode/plugins/threads-design/(Geode) or<vault>/.obsidian/plugins/threads-design/(Obsidian), then enable Design for Agent Threads. See the README for the installation smoke test. (#2) - Existing
.geode/artifacts/designs remain compatible; no file migration is needed. - Without this plugin, Agent Threads v0.43.0 retains source access to legacy designs but no longer registers
/designorEnterDesignMode.
Verification
- 35 unit tests passed; TypeScript and production bundle build passed.
- No standalone CI or E2E suite is configured. Agent Threads' browser harness covers contributed Design commands and artifact controls; it is not a live-host installation test.
