StudyBuddy

StudyBuddy is a productivity and study tracking app designed to help users manage their tasks, track study sessions, and visualize their progress. The app uses a Pomodoro timer, manual timer, and provides detailed analytics and heuristics to help users understand and improve their study habits.

  • Task Management:

    • Add, edit, and delete tasks with priorities and due dates.
    • View tasks in a calendar or list format.
  • Timers:

    • Pomodoro timer for focused study sessions.
    • Manual timer for custom session tracking.
    • Track time spent on each task and store progress.
  • Analytics & Visualization:

    • Weekly and daily study statistics.
    • Line charts and pie progress indicators for visual feedback.
    • Minimum study hours tracking and deficit visualization.
  • Heuristics & Procrastination Tracking:

    • The app analyzes your study patterns to detect procrastination.
    • Sends notifications and suggestions based on your most productive hours.
    • Tracks if tasks are being put off and nudges you to take action.
  • Notifications:

    • Reminders for upcoming tasks and optimal study times.
    • Alerts for procrastinated or urgent tasks.

Getting Started

  1. Install dependencies:

    npx expo install
  2. Set up environment variables:
    Ask one of the developers for the .env file.

  3. Run the app:

    npx expo start
