v0.18.1
- Undo Completion now preserves completion history when another window stops recurrence while the undo is being processed.

Installing for the first time: download the DMG, drag Work Journal to Applications, then clear the quarantine attribute macOS attached to it:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/Work Journal.app"
This build is ad-hoc signed and unnotarized — without that step macOS reports the app as damaged. Apple Silicon only.
v0.18.0
- Each repository can observe several selected branches, or all branches when the selection is empty, so development work can arrive before it reaches the default branch.
- Existing repositories keep observing their default branch until you change the selection; missing selected branches are explained and shared commits are added only once.
- Author address suggestions follow the observed branches and refresh when their selection changes, so an address used only on develop can be chosen.
- Repositories with non-UTF-8 branch names continue to be observed, including when all branches are selected.

v0.17.1
- A Pause or Resume now survives concurrent Observing changes made in another window.
- Restoring a backup with altered table or index definitions is now refused before it can break journal writes or remove data constraints.
- Pausing Observing during a commit sweep now keeps work authored during the Pause out of the journal, and disabling Observing or removing a repository takes effect during that sweep.
- An interrupted restore now keeps the previous journal’s committed Notes recoverable in its rollback.
- Repeated submissions while a Note or Task is saving now create one record, and a pending save no longer discards a newer draft.
- A failed backup no longer appears as a successful snapshot or delays the next automatic attempt, and existing backups are preserved.
- Restoring a rollback or journal with recent committed Notes still in its SQLite WAL now preserves those Notes.
- Completing an old Task Alert no longer completes a commitment that another window rescheduled while the action was being processed.
- Editing a Task's wording preserves concurrent completions, and conflicting schedule edits keep your draft for another save.

v0.17.0
- Settings is split into five tabs along the top, General, Sources, Intelligence, Data and About, and Check for Updates… in the menu bar opens the About tab.
- Every Settings row shows its one-line description, rows are labelled by what they hold, and the fine print is shorter.
- Each repository in Settings is a compact card with its details folded away, and Pause sits in the Commits row.

v0.16.1
- Typing in Search stays responsive when a short term matches a large part of the journal.
- Amending, rebasing or squash-merging a branch other than the default one no longer adds its commits to the journal twice: commits are read from the default branch only, even in a repository that was not cloned.
- Restoring a backup whose migration records were altered is now refused up front, instead of restoring it and then failing to open the app on every launch.
- Export names the year on every day heading and every completion time, so a journal that spans years no longer repeats the same date.
- Copying a Digest, Review Material or Work Summary Material across a year boundary names the year on its day headings too.

v0.16.0
- Settings can add your commits to the journal: choose repositories and the addresses that are you, and each commit you make becomes a Note on the day you authored it.
- Commits from before you turn it on, or from while it or a repository was off, are never added.
- Each repository can skip commits whose subject begins with a prefix you write, such as release commits.
- Hovering a commit's Note in History names the commit and its repository.
- Each repository in Settings now carries the Project its commits are filed under: its own name is offered first, and nothing is filed under anything unless you pick or type it.
- Renaming a Project renames what the repositories mapped to it are filed under too, and a Project one of them holds stays around — discoverable and renameable — until nothing names it.
- Observing can be paused from the Tray Menu or Settings, for an hour, until tomorrow, or until resumed: work done during a pause never enters the journal, however late a sweep meets it.
- While a pause is in force the Tray Menu and Settings both say so and say until when, and a pause with an end runs out on its own.
- Each repository in Settings shows the last Note it produced and when it arrived, or that nothing has arrived since you turned this on.
- A repository that cannot be read says why beside it, such as a folder that is gone or a default branch that cannot be resolved, and the other repositories keep producing Notes.
- Hovering a meeting in History says it came from your calendar, for meetings imported from now on.
- Tasks can hold optional multiline details, editable before or after completion and included in search, journal exports, and Work Summary and Review Material.

v0.15.0
- The tray menu has a Check for Updates item, so an update can be looked for without opening Settings.
- The app is coloured after its own logo: a warm neutral palette with the logo's amber as the accent, in both light and dark.
- Settings is grouped into named sections, each a card with its rows divided by hairlines.
- Each settings row explains itself through an info icon beside its name instead of carrying a paragraph of text at all times.

v0.14.0
- Standup Post is now Work Summary: Notes and completed work for a selected period with all current commitments, generated by a model on request.
- Work Summary Material copies the selected period's records without a model configured, separately from the generated prose.
- Settings holds a Work Summary Prompt with a new default; old Standup Prompt values are not carried over.
- Work Summary has its own date-range calendar and presets, independent of History, opening on This week.
- Each Work Summary shows the range it was written from and when it was written, and is marked outdated when it no longer matches the current selection.
- Regeneration is explicit, and a failed one keeps the previous result.
- The Work Summary copy button reads Copy Work Summary Material, naming what it copies apart from the generated summary.
