Highlights
- Works alongside input-remapper: on setups where input-remapper (or a similar tool) was installed, dictation could type only the end of the text or stop working entirely. Both issues are fixed (#19, #20).
- Correct characters on non-US keyboards: dictee now detects the active keyboard layout and variant (KDE and GNOME) so typed text matches your layout instead of falling back to US (no more swapped letters or dropped accents).
New
- Typing delay setting (advanced): a small delay before the dictated text is typed, for setups where another tool slows down the virtual-keyboard binding and the first characters get lost. Off by default; most users never need it (#19).
- Exclude input devices setting (advanced): tell push-to-talk to leave a physical keyboard alone when another tool (e.g. input-remapper) grabs it exclusively; dictee then listens to that tool's forwarded device instead (#20).
- The advanced input-device options now live together on the Extra options page.
Fixes
- Push-to-talk no longer crash-loops when input-remapper churns input devices (#20).
- Keyboard modifiers are now released with their correct key names, so the safety net that prevents a stuck modifier actually works.
- Translations updated for all six locales (fr, de, es, it, uk, pt) for the new settings.
Packaging
- No packaging regressions: the GNOME indicator dependency stays optional on KDE, and the CUDA runtime libraries ship as before.
