v0.1.4 — full URL sweep fixes

Choose a tag to compare

@rdmgator12 rdmgator12 released this 16 May 13:11

Patch release after a full 159-URL sanity sweep of every link in the README.

Result of the sweep

  • 156 of 159 URLs return 200
  • 1 URL was a fabricated repo path → fixed
  • 1 URL was bot-blocked at the canonical domain → swapped to the working subdomain
  • 1 URL returns 403 to scrapers but the URL is correct (S&P Global; real browsers reach it fine)

Fixes

  • Superpowers URL. Original entry pointed to github.com/superpowers-org/superpowers (404 — fabricated org name). Real repo is github.com/obra/superpowers (Jesse Vincent / obra), the canonical Superpowers methodology source referenced in Anthropic's October 2025 plugins launch announcement.
  • Adobe for Creativity URL. www.adobe.com/creativecloud.html aggressively bot-blocks (curl returns 000, can't verify the URL is alive). Swapped to creativecloud.adobe.com — the actual product URL, returns 301→200 and is the link users actually want.

v0.1.3 — strengthened disclaimer

Choose a tag to compare

@rdmgator12 rdmgator12 released this 16 May 13:08

Documentation-only patch strengthening the unaffiliated/community-maintained framing.

Changes

  • README intro line now reads "A free, community-maintained directory…" so the first sentence makes the list's status explicit.
  • New NOTE block added immediately under the intro: bold "free, independent, community-maintained" with explicit "not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic PBC" language, trademark attribution for Claude / Claude Code / Cowork, and the CC0 public-domain note.
  • Disclaimer moved higher — previously buried mid-header after the "maintained weekly" line; now sits directly under the intro, above the Plugin/Connector/MCP explainer block.
  • CONTRIBUTING.md disclaimer expanded to match the README version including trademark attribution and CC0 license dedication.
  • GitHub repo description rewritten to lead with "Community-maintained directory" and explicitly end with "Not affiliated with Anthropic" so first-impression viewers can't mistake the list for an official Anthropic property.

v0.1.2 — count fix + How to Install

Choose a tag to compare

@rdmgator12 rdmgator12 released this 16 May 13:06

Patch release responding to an external review of the v0.1.1 list. Fixes real bugs, adds two small structural improvements; held the line on items that were stylistic or where reviewer was wrong.

Fixes

  • Plugin count corrected: 140+ → 132. Direct grep against the README body confirmed 132 plugin entries; the header claim of "140+" was off. Categories count also tightened from "25+" to exact 27.
  • Slack entry contradiction. Description previously said "from Claude Cowork" but the surface tag was (Claude Code, Cowork). Reframed the description to be surface-agnostic and match the tag.

Additions

  • How to install section added above the categories. Documents the four canonical install paths: /plugin install <name>@claude-plugins-official, marketplace-add then install, --plugin-dir for local development, --plugin-url for remote ZIP testing.
  • License (CC0) and Last Commit badges added next to the Awesome badge in the header.

Held the line on

  • Replacing the **\A`**` Anthropic-verified marker (consistency with sibling lists matters more than visual delta)
  • Normalizing lowercase plugin names like cloudflare, terraform, mongodb, etc. (these are the canonical names users see in the official directory; matching them improves search-and-copy UX)
  • Adding lychee/markdownlint/alphabetical-order CI (awesome-lint already covers the awesome-list-specific rules)
  • Moving the Plugin/Connector/MCP/Custom-Plugin mental-model block to a separate docs file (it's the most-cited block in the README; hiding it reduces visibility)

awesome-lint 2.3.0: clean.

v0.1.1 — URL fixes

Choose a tag to compare

@rdmgator12 rdmgator12 released this 16 May 12:59

Patch release fixing two broken links caught in sanity check.

Fixes

  • Optibot Code Review URL. The original entry pointed to www.optibot.dev which doesn't resolve. Canonical URL is getoptimal.ai (parent company Optimal AI, product Optibot). Verified live.
  • Dan Ávila marketplace entry replaced. Original entry pointed to a fabricated repo path (github.com/danavila/claude-code-plugins → 404). The real engineer referenced in Anthropic's October 2025 plugins launch post is Daniel Avila (davila7), but he removed .claude-plugin/marketplace.json from claude-code-templates on 2026-04-11, so that repo is no longer a plugin marketplace. Entry dropped and replaced with ClaudePluginHub, a real community-maintained plugin discovery hub.
