footer functionality to match bootstrap-table one?

I am struggling with trying to implement the footerData example from bootstrap-table 1 in bootstrap-table 2. I read you were still looking for this to be developed in another thread.

Any update on when I could at least add a const footerData example per 1 to bs table 2?

I could really use it (and am fine with doing my own totals and averages thank you very much :)) in just the most generic form.

Thanks Allen! This is off topic, but one other quick ask... Is there a way to hook into the sort method before the sorting takes place in either I or II? (My problem is I have multi-level expander custom logic that goes beyond what bootstrap-table I provides I think and what I need to do basically is collapse all the inner expanders to the topmost level before any sort takes place else the various hierarchies expanded will be sorted as well in place, creating a jumble...)
