Back button unresponsive using Groups on iOS 26

Current behavior

Steps to reproduce:

• Start app on device running iOS 26
• Press "Go to Home"
• Press "Go to Screen 2"
• Press "< Home" Button
• Press "Go to Screen 2" again

Observed "< Home" Button is unresponsive

Expected behavior

Pressing "< Home" Button should return to Home Screen as it does during the first press

Couldn't find version numbers for the following packages in the issue:

• @react-navigation/stack

Can you update the issue to include version numbers for those packages? The version numbers must match the format 1.2.3.

Also note:

• this only occurs on iOS 26. the issue does not occur on iOS 18
• This only seems to be an issue when using the Groups feature.

Can you update the issue to include version numbers for those packages? The version numbers must match the format 1.2.3.

@react-navigation/stack is not used. So either I am missing that and that is causing the problem, or it is not needed.

This appears to be fixed with React Native Screens 4.17.x
