Monitors & Widgets 1.7.1

A hotfix for Monitors & Widgets: a cleaner Menu, auto RAM and VRAM sizes, and tidier layouts.

🆕 New

• 🧭 Cleaner Menu, grouped into Look, This layout and Readings. Size now goes from 1% to 300%, with a Reset button back to 100%.
• 🖱️ Click a layout to switch: while the Menu is open, click any layout and its screen and size settings switch to it. No need to reopen the Menu for each skin.
• 📊 Memory bars: one Off / On switch shows RAM and VRAM out of your PC's real sizes, so 12 GB and 24 GB cards show right. It replaces the fixed 8 / 16 / 32 GB choices.
• 📅 Date: pick 21 October, October 21 or 10/21/2026.
• Horizontal 2 now shows RAM, and it and Vertical show RAM and VRAM bars when Memory bars are on.

🔧 Fixed

• The desktop widgets could show the wrong total video memory (often 8 GB).
• The Menu's RAM and VRAM settings didn't change the desktop widgets.
• On Lancool 207 (sideways), the memory bars sat on the bottom edge.
• Every skin can be dragged again.

✨ Tidier layouts

• Upright case screens (Lancool 207, Lian Li 8.8", Xeneon Edge Box) use their space better: the RAM / VRAM part fits its numbers and the charts get the room.
• Bar screens show the FPS stats on one line.
• The repeated Core clock is gone from the second-monitor layouts, and the full 16x9 / Portrait layouts drop the small FPS line (the Performance chart already shows FPS).

1. Download Monitors and Widgets 1.7.1.rmskin below and double-click it.
2. Keep MonitorsAndWidgets and AfterburnerData.dll ticked, then click Install.
3. Right-click a skin → Menu… to set it up.

Updating from 1.7? Just install over it; your settings stay.
From 1.6 or older? Close Rainmeter and delete Documents\Rainmeter\Skins\MonitorsAndWidgets first.

Needs MSI Afterburner and Rainmeter (4.5 or 5). Full setup guide in the README.

Overlays 2.0

• New Smoke theme replaces Clear: sharp, readable on any scene
• New TV designs (4K and 1080p) and laptop designs (5 resolutions)
• VRAM temperature on most Essential overlays, no HWiNFO needed
• Every overlay polished; graphs are now a line on a soft background
• Most readings now come from RTSS itself; Afterburner only for FPS and 1% / 0.1% lows
  Had Clear? Delete the old _clear files and load the _smoke ones.

Essential & Volt

🏷️ New names, same overlays

• 🟢 Essential (was MSI Edition): RTSS + MSI Afterburner only, no HWiNFO
• ⚡ Volt (was the original overlays): adds HWiNFO for 12V-2x6 / 12VHPWR cable monitoring and VRAM temperature
• 📱 Monitors & Widgets (was Apple Style Monitor): Rainmeter skins for your second screen, case screen and desktop

Only the names changed. Files now start with essential_ or volt_, so they're easy to tell apart in OverlayEditor's Load list.

🔧 Fixed: 4K 1.5x / 2x overlays and TV Pill 4K now show their rings, meters and panel correctly.

Had the old files? Delete the old msi_…, sleek…, performance_overlay…, island_bar… and tv_… files from your Overlays folder so nothing shows twice. Full guide: Switching from the old names.

📱 Monitors & Widgets 1.6
No more empty border around the cards: every layout now reaches right to its edges, so you can place it however you like.
The Gaps option is gone from the Settings panel.
New Clock option in Settings: 12-hour (default) or 24-hour.
Works on Rainmeter 4.5 and 5. On Rainmeter 5 you can also use Zoom (Manage → Zoom) to make any skin any size.

Install: download Monitors and Widgets 1.6.rmskin, double-click it and click Install. Needs MSI Afterburner running.

Monitors & Widgets 1.5 (Rainmeter)

⚙️ New Settings panel
Right-click any skin → Custom skin actions → Settings… and click what you want: theme, FPS scale, RAM / VRAM meters, corners, gaps and GPU. Every open skin switches straight away.

🔧 Fixed: in 1.4, Rainmeter's 25-item menu limit hid FPS scale, Theme and GPU 2. The right-click menu is now short and everything is in Settings.

Updating from 1.4: unload your current skins in Manage, then double-click the new .rmskin and Install. Your layouts are the same.

Every overlay redesigned to need only RTSS + MSI Afterburner, with no HWiNFO at all.

• Files start with msi_, so they sit next to your current overlays without replacing them

Everything in Essential, plus HWiNFO for 12V-2x6 / 12VHPWR cable monitoring and VRAM temperature.
