Pier adapter 0.3.9

Choose a tag to compare

@svemyh svemyh released this 18 Sep 21:58

Pier 0.3.9 fixes stable CLI manifest redirects and makes every automatic
selection or fallback observable in cli-resolution.json. Fallback warnings
include a bounded reason, selected version, and archive checksum.

Manifest downloads follow bounded trusted HTTPS redirects, reject compressed
or oversized metadata, and preserve release identity/checksum validation.
Signed download URLs are excluded from HTTP request diagnostics. A running
task keeps the binary selected at setup; new tasks resolve the stable release
again. Explicit archive pins remain explicit.

The accompanying server and CLI release changes retain qualified older worker
identities independently of the current server build and require fresh serving
production admission before promoting a new CLI. npm follows the guarded
canonical publication. Unknown workers remain rejected.

All 385 adapter tests passed against the release wheel built from merged
reason-machines/monorepo commit e7d5780c88b1b6d26f085bd349433778eef2da1b,
PR #11708. Fault regressions cover redirects, size limits, log redaction,
fallback visibility, cancellation, and per-task version selection.

Assets: source archive, Python wheel, and SHA256SUMS. The examples tag identifies
the documentation repository; the adapter source is the monorepo commit above.
End-to-end run evidence will be added after verification. Runtime completion
and benchmark task correctness are separate results.

Pier adapter 0.3.8

@svemyh svemyh released this 18 Sep 18:54
ae86570

Pier adapter 0.3.8 preserves terminal Device resource failures as the exported
ReasonSessionResourceUnavailableError. Session, trajectory, usage, and cleanup
evidence remain available. Other failure types keep their existing behavior.

The adapter still resolves and checksum-verifies the current stable Reason CLI
inside each production task. No retry flags or CLI overrides are required.

The accompanying server change can reconcile a missing cancellation
acknowledgement after reconnecting to the same authenticated worker. It never
replays the original command. Work continues only after confirmed settlement;
uncertain outcomes remain errors.

Validation:

  • All 337 adapter tests passed against a clean installation of the release wheel.
  • Real-worker fault tests verified recovery after a lost result and cancellation
    acknowledgement, subsequent command execution, and exactly one mutation.
  • The fault proof also passed three consecutive Linux x64 Docker runs.
  • On September 18, 2026, a fresh clone following the public README completed
    the DeepSWE quickstart against production with stable CLI 0.2.61. It had
    zero startup/runtime exceptions, zero trial retries, and no cleanup errors.
    The grader passed 68/79 feature tests and all 16,715 existing tests. Reward
    remained 0 because some feature tests failed.

Built from reason-machines/monorepo commit
d5f4cdf59dfb94f0daaf43a71de138424d29586a, merged in PR #11664.
The examples tag identifies the example repository; the adapter source is the
monorepo commit above. SHA256SUMS covers both attached packages.

A completed benchmark run can still fail task tests.

Pier adapter 0.3.7

@svemyh svemyh released this 18 Sep 13:30
272664c

Pier adapter 0.3.7 resolves the current stable Reason CLI release before each
production worker starts. It validates the versioned Linux x64 manifest and
archive checksum, with the packaged CLI 0.2.61 pin retained as an outage
fallback.

Production now accepts both the current Hands worker and the exact worker
shipped in stable CLI 0.2.61. Unknown worker hashes remain blocked.

Validation:

  • All 330 adapter tests passed from merged monorepo commit
    2ff89b1b3bd57998ab50a0fe6c5228b242d48c27.
  • A clean source-distribution install reported adapter 0.3.7.
  • The local Docker DeepSWE example completed one trial with zero exceptions.
  • A clean clone following the public README completed one production trial
    with zero exceptions and F2P 0.835 using stable CLI 0.2.61.

The source distribution and wheel are attached. Earlier versioned releases
remain available. A completed benchmark run can still fail task tests.

Pier adapter 0.3.6

@svemyh svemyh released this 17 Sep 06:34
d29392f

Pier adapter 0.3.6 defaults to the verified Reason CLI 0.2.61 for Linux x64/glibc Docker tasks.

The worker allows 25 seconds for operation heartbeat and completion requests, including proxy setup and authentication. Acknowledged lease deadlines, cancellation, retry limits, and bounded shutdown remain enforced.

Validation:

  • All 328 adapter tests passed.
  • The CLI passed native qualification, signed-package checks, clean Mac/Windows installation tests, and public download/install verification.
  • The public Linux archive matches SHA256 cdc0828abde3157e39afc6a64e033deee52ff7cfb09b55a42e60394df24980b9.

The source distribution and wheel are attached. Earlier versioned releases remain available. Completing a benchmark run does not guarantee that its generated solution passes every task test.

Pier adapter 0.3.5

Choose a tag to compare

@svemyh svemyh released this 16 Sep 04:48

Updates the default to the compatible, checksum-pinned Linux x64/glibc CLI 0.2.59.

Checks server-reported device compatibility before session creation, waits for offline registration within the existing deadline, and reports stale workers without weakening server admission. Usable workers must have an explicit null compatibility reason.

Verified with 328 adapter tests against the built package. A real Docker run with CLI 0.2.59 completed agent execution and native task verification without infrastructure exceptions; the task solution did not pass every test. A stale 0.2.58 worker was rejected before session creation and cleaned up.

The v0.3.3 release remains available.

@svemyh svemyh released this 15 Sep 22:19

Reason Machines Pier adapter 0.3.3. Source: reason-machines/monorepo commit 916e06ca526e95f2de23bfa9f0e9fb6faf5f2244. Archive SHA-256: ce2dd3411fc5cb201f71eda4cd8cb2dfda2782e4f3fc7557d70f9e62aabc8893.\n\nRecovers archived/private benchmark slug collisions using workspace-visible successors without changing existing permissions. Adds actionable admin guidance when all ten slugs are unavailable and preserves the public project_slug_conflict code.\n\nVerification: 310 tests passed from source and from a fresh archive installation; required merge checks passed.\n\nKnown live limitation verified September 15, 2026: the original single-task Docker rerun passed project resolution but production rejected session creation with local_device_incompatible. The pinned CLI 0.2.58 worker artifact no longer matches the production headless-worker requirement. A compatible official Linux x64 CLI release and adapter repin are required before end-to-end execution can succeed. No model execution or native grading occurred in that rerun.
