VR mode
The game in true stereo around you, in three view modes: a diorama on your floor, third-person with the world at your shoulder, and first-person at life size. Each remembers its own scale and placement.
- Plays with any gamepad. Tracked VR controllers (visionOS spatial controllers, e.g. PSVR2 Sense) are optional, and draw Mario's own hands where yours are — with grab and punch gestures if you want them.
- A real sky dome, built from the game's own skybox tiles, so the sky surrounds you instead of sitting flat.
- Free / Turn / Snap stick look, stereo strength, world scale and height, dimming, recenter, and an optional Flip Cam that somersaults with Mario.
- Menus and the act/star select stay on a flat world-locked screen.
- 2x MSAA on the eye passes, and anti-clip so leaning into a wall doesn't put you inside it.
Tunable from the visionOS settings sheet or in-game Options → VR.
Fixes
- The 2D window keeps its rounded corners
- Fixed a Metal texture-lifetime bug that could paint stale textures over the sky

VR mode owes its shape to RaYRoD's Quest port — the sky dome is a direct port, tuning constants and all. Built on sm64coopdx; iOS groundwork by LeoManrique. You supply your own ROM.
