Added

  • CONTRIBUTING.md with the development workflow.
  • CI refuses to build or publish a release tag that does not name the version
    in pyproject.toml.

Changed

  • Development installs no longer need the compiled library copied into the
    source tree.
  • CI runs on Python 3.14 in every uv-based job, with uv 0.12.10 installed via
    setup-uv v10.0.1 (from 0.8.22 via v7).
  • ty bumped to 0.0.78 (from 0.0.56) in the dev dependencies and the
    pre-commit hook.
