defl v0.1.0 路 Initial Release

defl is a high-performance, small DEFLATE/ZLIB decompression implementation in C, with support for streaming and low-memory environments.

馃敡 Key Features

  • infl_init(): Inits stream
  • infl_include(): Include source data to decompress later
  • infl(): Decompress chunked source buffer
  • infl_buf(): Decompress full buffer at once
  • infl_stream(): True streaming decompression, byte-by-byte or partial chunks
  • infl_destroy(): Release resources

This library is built to be minimal, portable, and embedding-friendly. It鈥檚 ideal for environments where performance, size, and stream-based processing matter.

See the README for usage and integration details.

鈿狅笍 Known / Possible Issues

  • infl_stream() is functional but needs broader testing with different data patterns and chunk sizes (e.g., decompressing 1 byte at a time, or in powers of 2/3, etc.).
  • Additional testing and edge case coverage is needed to further improve robustness.
