Testcontainers Redis 3.0.0 upgrades the project to Spring Boot 4.1.1 dependency management and Testcontainers 2.0.5 while retaining Java 17 as the minimum supported Java version.
Highlights
- Spring Boot 4.1.1 BOM, Testcontainers 2.0.5, JUnit 6.0.3, LettuceMod 4.5.0, and JaCoCo 0.8.15.
- Gradle 9.8.0 with native Gradle build and publishing configuration, replacing incompatible Kordamp plugins.
- Updated Lettuce search APIs and shared test-base dependency declarations.
- Dependabot coverage for the version catalog, wrapper, and GitHub Actions.
- CI on Java 17 and 25, including Redis Enterprise container tests.
Upgrade notes
- Use Java 17 or newer.
- Align consuming tests with Testcontainers 2 and JUnit 6 when moving from the 2.x release line.
- The libraries remain regular JARs. Spring Boot provides dependency management; Spring Boot application packaging is not required.
- All six modules are released together under
com.redisat version3.0.0.
