Would love to hear mobile (iOS workflows), how are others dealing with accessing notes from iOS?

I personally use mobile mostly for capturing, and I am using OpenClaw for it! E.g.:

• I send web links via telegram and it stores them as resources (see this workflow)
• I send voice notes about ideas and it stores them as simple notes in the inbox, attaches them to projects/responsibilities, etc

But a mobile app for written capturing and lightweight browsing would be great and is definitely planned

Nice! If you’re planning an iOS app, it would be great to keep accessibility in mind.
Many PKM apps like Obsidian or Capacities are currently not very accessible.
Good VoiceOver support, in particular, could make a big difference for visually impaired users.

I only just found Tolaria a few days back, been playing with it now today for a bit.. @LucaRonin your Loom tutorial videos are very helpful, thanks for that.

honestly, I would also love to see a way to add notes from my phone as @simonbromander suggested. where my most common use case would be for taking notes during work meetings, which I could then expand on and organise more cleanly once I get back to my desk.

with that said, I do not use any persistent AI agents, nor do I have the means to do so easily.. so having the ability to launch a mobile app (where I use Android) and save notes directly to a Tolaria vault would change this from being a useful tool to being an indispensable tool!

quick update: I am actively working on mobile apps, but these are tricky — especially the files/git integration. Have a few good ideas though.

UX-wise, for the iPad it's more straightforward because we can aim basically at feature parity with desktop, while iPhone it's more complex because the UI needs to be rethought, and probably expose only a subset of features. There's more design work on that

But progress is being made!

For me at least, it seems like the most glaring phone UX need is to be able to quickly browse / edit .md, but being able to browse the vault using the views and types conventions.

If I had that alone, it would satisfy the majority of my primary needs.

A secondary awesome feature would be if one could surface LLM queries of the vault from that same UX.

Way more often than not, people are looking to read and lightly edit a vault from a device... just my $0.02.

@LucaRonin - If you were to imagine a very rough estimate on when you might have an iOS app, are we talking weeks or months? What is the general feeling? Of course, no one will hold you to it. Just curious.

In the interim, there are a lot of Markdown-based iOS notes apps that could access Tolaria data if stored in iCloud...any recommendations?

You could store your Tolaria vault in iCloud Drive, and then access it from your iOS device.

Hi @LucaRonin, would it make sense to create a project board for the mobile/iOS app? I think it could make it easier for the community to follow progress, understand current challenges, and provide feedback on features or implementation details when it's helpful.

That said, I also understand it would add some overhead in terms of managing the board and community feedback, so it may not be worth the trade-off.

Either way, I’d be happy to help test the app once it’s available through TestFlight.
