  • Fixed a bug where the REST API rate limiter double-counted requests because WordPress calls the permission callback twice per request. The limiter is now enforced inside the request callback so each API call increments the counter exactly once.
  • Improved E2E test reliability: block insertion in the inspector-controls spec now falls back to the Block Inserter toolbar when the slash-command autocomplete doesn't appear, and a brief Escape keypress dismisses block-preview popovers before clicking content-type buttons.
