Control keeps working over administrator windows — Until now, whenever a window that runs with administrator rights took focus — an installer, Task Manager, a UAC-elevated app — Windows silently threw away every click and keystroke you sent from your phone or tablet. Remio Host now sends your input through even in those windows, so you keep control of your PC no matter what's in front.
True-color 4:4:4 streaming on NVIDIA PCs (experimental) — Video compression normally halves color detail, so fine text on colored backgrounds — colored code themes, spreadsheet highlights, subtitles — always looked slightly smeared. On PCs with an NVIDIA graphics card you can now switch on "4:4:4 color" in the Mac client's settings and get pixel-exact color, making colored text as crisp as sitting at the PC.

Full quality on cloud and rented PCs — On machines that refuse Remio's adaptive display (common on rented GPU and cloud-gaming PCs), video used to sink into a choppy half-rate mode within seconds of connecting and stay there for the whole session. The Host now recognizes those machines, keeps full-speed hardware video, and streams the real screen at its native resolution.
A frozen app is now called a frozen app — When a program stopped responding, Remio blamed it on "an administrator app has focus," sending you looking for a problem that wasn't there. It now tells you the app itself isn't responding, so you know to close it and move on.

Fixed the most common crash on Windows PCs — A timing problem while the video engine was starting up could crash Remio Host and knock your PC offline until someone relaunched it. This was behind the majority of recent crash reports.
PCs with a broken graphics driver now stream instead of saying "Offline" — If your graphics driver couldn't start, your PC showed up as "Offline" — so it looked like a network problem and no amount of retrying helped. Those PCs now stream using software video, and when streaming genuinely isn't possible, the Host says so plainly instead of blaming your connection.
Fixed a stream stuck at one frame per second — A stalled graphics driver could leave the picture crawling as a slideshow, with taps and clicks seemingly ignored. Remio previously only recovered from a picture that had stopped completely; it now recovers from both.
The status no longer says "Ready to stream" when it isn't — If video failed to start while the Host was waiting for a connection, it still claimed to be ready. It now shows the honest "Can't stream" status, so you can tell at a glance whether your PC is actually reachable.
