Remote control — click the cloud Remote control button in the toolbar to share your browser with a remote agent or person through a secret tunnel id. The remote agent sees every Playwriter tab and can open new background tabs in a
remotetab group. The Remote ON dropdown has Copy prompt, Copy id, and Stop sharing, which closes the tunnel immediately. Tunnels use path-based URLs, so the id no longer leaks through DNS or TLS SNI. Whole-profile cookie and cache wipes stay blocked.playwriter session new --remote <id>

Tabs grouped by owning session — tabs a session opens, and popups they open, join that session's tab group. The extension closes only a session's own tabs when an SDK
connectViaExtension()connection ends, so parallel scripts no longer close each other's tabs. -
Agent clicks pass through the toolbar — clicks on elements under the in-page toolbar no longer fail with
intercepts pointer events. Toolbar buttons can no longer be triggered by agent key presses. Fixes #126. -
Simpler welcome page — a "Copy agent prompt to install" button copies a prompt that tells your coding agent to install the Playwriter skill. Full setup docs are in a collapsible section.
-
Larger, sturdier toolbar — bigger buttons, tooltips, toasts with the toolbar look, a new Record Skill start sound, and controls hardened against hostile page CSS.
-
Fixed enabling a tab while the extension reconnects — the tab no longer gets attached twice and stuck with
Another debugger is already attached. -
Fewer connect/disconnect loops and startup hangs — a late connection can no longer replace a newer one, and Chrome API calls that can hang (storage, profile info, User-Agent lookup) time out after 2s. Related to #40.
-
Fixed Record Skill stop and a blank tab sometimes created before the tab inventory arrived.
-
Less noise to the relay — CDP debug logs are no longer forwarded, and remote control credentials are redacted from logs.
