Application Projects

  • Add Device Lifecycle Management for RA8 MCUs (r11an0785) (new).

  • Migrate Establishing and Protecting Device Identity using SCE7 and FAW (r11an0449) to FSPv6.4.0.

Fix issues and improvements

Example Projects

  • Fixed configuration errors in the Clock tab of RA8x2 (EK_RA8P1, EK_RA8M2, EK_RA8D2 and MCK_RA8T2) projects.

  • Fixed issues in the EK_RA8D2 quickstart example project, including an incorrect OSPI reset pin and build issues with FSP v6.4.0.

  • Fixed issues in the clock_output example project of EK_RA8P1, EK_RA8M2, and EK_RA8D2.

  • Fixed a ghosting issue on the Segment LCD in the slcdc example project for EK_RA4C1 and EK_RA4L1.

  • Fixed configuration errors in the Getting_started_with_FreeRTOS_Network example project on EK_RA8P1 and the ethernet example project on EK_RA8P1 and MCK_RA8T2.

  • Enabled the BLEN pin (P514) for backlight control and fixed clock issues in the drw and glcdc example projects on EK_RA8P1.

  • Improve documentation for usb_pvnd on EK_RA4M1

  • Fix SPI clock phase setting for EPs on RA8x2 (EK_RA8P1, EK_RA8M2, EK_RA8D2, MCK_RA8T2 and EK_RA8E2) and RA8x1 (EK_RA8D1, EK_RA8M1, MCK_RA8T1 and FPB_RA8E1)

Known Issues

  • Clone ra-fsp-examples repository in Windows will be failed due to longpath issue. Please enable longpaths configuration before clone.

    git config --global core.longpaths true

Application Projects

  • Some project can fail in building due to long path issue. Please choose "Copy projects into workspace" when import for these projects.

    Import → General → Existing Projects into Workspace → Choose the project need to import → Choose "Copy projects into workspace".

Example Projects

  • EK_RA6E2 -> qspi (need to run after FileX_block_media_qspi_LevelX EP)

  • USBX_phid -> There is issue with PC/Laptop installed CrowdStrike tool

  • AWS Example projects: can meet building issue "No rule to make target" due to long path location.
    Need to move project folder to shorter location (Ex. D:/).

  • EK_RA8D1, EK_RA8M1 -> USBX_huvc: Example run failed randomly in option 1 (Start record video) with Error code: 0x23.

  • FPB_RA0E3 -> icu (Keil): Cannot detect device when downloading or debugging the project. This issue occurs because the SEGGER J-Link version bundled with Keil is not compatible. To fix the issue, update to a compatible SEGGER J-Link version for Keil MDK-ARM using SEGGER J-Link DLL Updater.
