What's new
- Added Online icons from the Iconify catalogue with search, filters, SVG import and image fallback for complex artwork. Online icons are now always available without enabling them in Settings.
- Added new Material You, monochrome and inverse-colour icon options.
- Added improved layouts for tablets, foldables and landscape screens.
- Improved startup performance, icon-list scrolling and the Material 3 Expressive interface.
- Fix bugs.
Beta
- Global icon modifiers with live wallpaper previews and separate controls for generated, existing, custom and missing icons. This feature is still being tested and may contain bugs.
2026.07.03
• Shared profiles and backups now unlock a pack's icons only once that pack is installed — free or paid, from Google Play or F-Droid — so the pack's developer still gets the install.
• Icon packs exported from Icon Pack Studio stay locked when shared (they're personal-use).
• A reminder before you share a profile: the other person needs the same icon packs installed to see its pack icons.
2026.07.02
• Outline modifier (per app): Add draws a contour around the icon, Recolor repaints an icon's existing outline in a new colour, with thickness, colour and a live eraser to mask where it should not apply
• Pack-wide Add outline in Advanced options — one contour across every refreshed icon
• First-run intro pager, with "Show intro" in Settings
• Wider launcher support: built packs also work with GO-family launchers and legacy icon pickers
• Signed release builds
• Profile sharing embeds every icon's pixels; paid-pack icons stay locked until the pack is installed
• Sharper pack browser previews, with a fallback when an icon can't be generated
• Fixes: Lawnicons icons no longer render invisible (transparent-stroke and night-theme handling), stronger per-install pack signing key

New
- Profile sharing — export any profile as a
.renkinfile and import it on another device (imports always add a new profile) - Paid icon-pack protection — shared profiles carry references instead of paid artwork; icons unlock automatically once the pack is installed or verified free
- Full backup & restore — one
.renkinfile with all profiles, icons, settings, watch rules, uploaded images and the pack signing key - Missing-pack experience — a dialog listing the packs a profile needs (with Play Store links), a home banner, locked tiles and a list filter
- Icon provenance — built packs remember each icon's true source pack; the stats dialog shows real origins, including packs that are no longer installed
- Material You icon shapes — circle, squircle, pebble, cookie and sunny presets as a crop or a coloured plate, with a shape-size slider
- Text icons — custom per-app text, letter-case options and a font picker (bundled Arcticons Sans plus the device's system fonts); output stays vector
- SVG — uploads render sharp at full size, and the Vector tab can import an SVG as editable paths
Improved
- Colorize picker gets a title, confirm/cancel buttons and a tappable before/after swatch pair
- Icon watch ignores Renkin's own packs, and installing a pack fires matching suggestions immediately
- Active profile is highlighted in the switcher; tapping the icon preview enlarges it
- New launcher artwork with a proper Material You monochrome glyph
